Um, no thanks...........think I'll stick with sore throat and cough!

I'm going to log off a moment and come back in...........things aren't loading correctly..........can't get Denise's cookies!

Sarah: Pink eye? Man, that sucks! Get well soon, girls!! I loved that smiley! Wherever did you find it?

Paige: So glad that you're having a good weekend. Sounds like you got a lot accomplished today. I love days like that! :woohoo:

I'm really enjoying my "free" ME time weekend! :)

Well, I got lots of free stuff this morning, so that's always good, got the car taken care of, came home to a quiet house, another good thing, handed out money to all when they got home so they were all happy, took a nap, and played a board game.

Pretty good weekend so far!

That sounds really nice!

We finally had the vote for the big union contract I've been working on for 2 months. It was extremely gruelling, but it passed and most of the staff is happy with what we got so :teeth:

Now I'm basically just waiting for the big Ohio State game!

I had it about two months ago too. I've been weeding our picture book collection at the library and I almost always get it when I do that no matter how careful I am. I think I'll start wearing gloves.

I Google Imaged "pinkeye smilie" :) I think it's actually a black-eye smilie, but it works!

I've never thought about that, but I guess that would be a good way to get it, huh?!Funny thing is, we stopped by our local library today to get DS5 a few picture books. :)

My son used to get pink eye a few times a year..............if I caught it right in that watery stage and bathed it 6-8 times a day with a clean washcloth each time, we were able to stop it before it needed antibiotics. Just FYI........but I think gloves are a good idea, and some of that gel hand cleaner..........

Not sure what we're eating yet. Too early for me to decide. LOL

I have no idea. We have to go to the grocery store.........it's getting to a desperate state in our kitchen. Now that I'm paying all the dr. bills, I told dh he has to do groceries. He seems to think the less often we buy them, the fewer we will eat.................

:lmao: I know it sounds gross, but I've never had a patron complain to me about it. They probably don't even realize it. I was always coming down with it as a kid and now that I'm being exposed again, I'm getting it like crazy. It's espeically annoying cuz I wear contacts. I'm also REALLY careful. It just LOVES me!

I've also never passed it on to anyone else here at the library, so i know my chapped hands (from all the washing) are worth it.

I usually get the kind where my eyes are just pink, not all nasty. When I was a kid I got the nasty kind (wake up and can't open your eyes, cuz they are glued shut).

Okay, I'm getting grossed out! I'll just put on some :smooth:

::yes:: We just got home from doing the grocery store. I'm so glad we got everything inside before it started raining!

I have no idea, DH is cooking!

I made sausage and sourcraut (sp?) last night. It was my first time and it came out just like mom makes it! :teeth:

Sarah, I'm glad it's not as bad as it was when you were a kid. Our family rarely, and I mean rarely ever gets pink eye.

I think my son's problem were his allergies..............in the Spring, his eyes would tear and itch and even swell shut due to allergies. Claritin helped, but if he had been out playing and then rubbed his eyes, that would do it!

I'm doing the washcloth thing now. I'm trying to avoid the antibodics because I have to go to the GYN next week and antiboidics give me...um...TMI...

I think I usually get the viral kind not the bacterial. I did a bunch of research. The viral doesn't get all nasty and your eyes usually are red and slightly itchy (sort of like allergies). The antibodics seem to work for both cuz the drops sort of do what the wash clothes do--clean your eyes.

WHY do little boys HAVE to wrestle ALL the time? And WHY does one ALWAYS get hurt, which makes the mom have to say: WHY do you guys HAVE to wrestle ALL the time?

I hope I never find out, but I bet I will!

Did I ever tell you that me and the Horned King are heavily in line for twins? It's a 75% chance! If we have boys DH wants to name them Fred and George. And red hair runs in my family! :lmao:

How funny Sarah! I love red hair. I told dh I wanted a red-haired child, and he said "Give it up. Mexicans don't have red hair. If you end up with a red-haired child, I'll know I'm not the father." (He was kidding about that last part). Anyway, the very next year I had a very dark-skinned Mexican/White mix boy with red hair. I took a picture of him and took it home to dh to prove it! I've since met two other red-haired Mexican kids, both with two Mexican parents, and both with skin at least as dark as my oldest's.
