Sorry, went out to do "lawn maintenance" as per my HOA violation letter! I'm a bit peeved about it actually, they sent us a letter to mow the lawn when we'd been at Disney. We got back just in time for dh to go to work the next Monday, and he mowed it the next Friday. We received the letter the Monday after. Since we'd already done it, we left it alone. It wasn't even that tall, just seed-headed.
Now we get a letter saying we need to do "lawn maintenance". And because we already got one letter, now we are in violation and have ten days to "correct the problem". Well, some edging needs to be done, but it's mowed well. There's some grass encroaching in the flower bed, but you can't tell unless you come up to my door. Some of those weeds that pop up overnight are out there in the parts between the sidewalk and street, and I do admit those need to be taken care of, same as the edging. The grass is not green................30 days of no rain and 100 digit temps, we can't keep it green. But it IS mowed, which is what our last letter was.
So, I'm out there watering the whole thing every night to see if I can get some green spots, dh will edge and weedeat Sat morning, and I have to get some roundup for the grass in the flower bed (flowers are dead too, from the heat, so I'll have dh weedeat the whole thing.........the bushes are making it).
Any other suggestions, mad chatter cousins? I do not have a green thumb, but I am a rule follower, and I hate to be "in violation" of anything. Between this and the car not passing inspection, I'm feeling like a criminal!
