Looks like we're going to miss the bulk of the heavy rain here. Yay! No more basement flooding...of course there's a bunch more rain coming still, but it looks better than it did an hour ago.

*all fans firmly pointed south*

Thats good to hear! Its times like last night that I am glad I do not have a basement. I live on the second floor in a one level condo.

A pixie dust machine would be awesome!

Wouldn't it though! I would definitely pay good money for a pixie dust machine!

but until they invent that technology, heres some random pixie dust thrown at all you lovely mad chatters!

So, I helped to register a hundred kids (more or less) yesterday, but only 4 second graders. 1 bilingual and 3 English classes. One boy who went into English is only Spanish speaking, but since he went to PK, K and 1st in ESL, he has to continue in English now. He went on another teacher's list. The other two weren't on a list yet. I may not have received any of them since I had the most on my list. They probably gave me one though so I still have one more than the rest, but that only makes for 17. So Sarah, can I have some of that pixie dust that it stays so low? What I couldnt' do with such a small class!

I love choir! My choir starts back in late september. Do you sing with your church or other? What part do you sing? I am a soprano.

And pixie dust for you too paige! I hope everything runs smoothly on your surgery. Those are no fun at all. I hope they "yank the sucker" (I love this way of putting it!) and have done so you never have to worry about it again

I sing with my church, alto, but they have me singing soprano more here lately. I am not a great singer, nor do I sing high very well! It's a big strain!

Still only six? We need to get the word out! Even though I probably won't be able to go unless DH isn't teaching. He wasn't happy about the idea of me leaving him at home. Plus I doubt my mom would be able to come up with the money.

If he does get the job, we'll probably go the week before Christmas, so I'll just miss you guys!

I wonder how many Chatters there are. I have to make DH vote for August . We probably shouldn't both vote though.
