I was always a skinny minnie growing up. Then I met my husband and he likes to COOK! And he cooks all that good unhealthy stuff. And he doesn't eat salad or vegetables. So I was done for! I put on about 20 lbs and my family started to worry about me. I found myself in a size 10 - sometimes pushing to a size 12... which was scary for someone used to being a 5-6. (I'm only 5'2".) I finally decided I was ready to change after I had to buy a $80 Lands End bathing suit because it was the only one I didn't look COMPLETELY AWFUL in! And now that I've lost the weight, the $80 bathing suit is two sizes too big.. (size 10 and I'm back in a 6! ) I'm annoyed that I'm out the $80 with nothing to show for it, but I'm okay with it for the reason why.

This low carb diet really isn't that bad. I lost the 20 lbs in 2.5 months. And now I just pop back on here and there to keep it from sneaking back! I feel so GOOD about myself!

If I can do it - anyone can! I was SUCH an unhealthy eater!

ahh what I wouldn't give to be in a size 10!
My DBF also loves to cook and he is super skinny and eats enough for 3. It definitely not a losing weight mentality when he plans meals. But when I plan a low fat meal he complains that there aren't enough calories for him!

Well I talked to DBF last night about it and he said that his bro has some orientation stuff happening next week, so he should leave soon. But I don't have an exact date. I can't stand the fact they are both so laid back about all of this. I'm a super planner, so this drives me crazy!
