my boss took me out to lunch today for my birthday. That was nice of her. I've worked there 3 years and she has never done that before. We went to a nice place too. I felt so totally underdressed because she sprung this on me at the last second! But oh well-I noshed to my hag self's content! Ah the life.

Hi Chatters! I have had an absolutely THRILLING day at the walk-in clinic. I found out on Thursday that Heather had to have a physical by MONDAY, for volleyball tryouts. She originally told me it did not need to be until October, so I had no time to schedule an appt. with the doctor. Walk-in clinics suck. The waiting room was so full that, of course, there were no chairs left and everyone was spewing outside. So we filled out the paperwork and headed to Taco Bell for lunch! When we came back, we STILL had to wait another hour for our name to be called. I'm just glad we didn't wait there the entire time. And I had a delicious meal, to boot!

What's everyone up to this weekend? I have no plans. I'm looking forward to vegging. And maybe doing some reading. Caitlin has a friend over, but I told them they had to give mommy some peace and quiet for a while!

Squid and Steph, I was curious about Jiko....particularly about the entree I plan on ordering: The oak grilled filet wtih the macaroni and cheese in the wine sauce. So I rustled up a pic.

What do you think? I personally think the sauce looks a little bit like blood. And yet I still think it looks pretty tasty. Must be the vampire in me. I'm soooo getting it!

Well I am at a soccer tournament in Cincinnati, OH hags! I got soaked because it poured on us, but the girls are playing well and winning so that is good. I am so darn tired from sitting in my chair and cheering - I am just exhausted! You have no idea how hard it is for me to try to be nice and smile. Ugh!

Sorry I've been pretty much MIA since returning home. I'm just not having a very good week. Double whammy having to leave behind Disney AND, more importantly, having my two boys move out. I surprise me! Never thought I would react like this. It's just so weird. I have seen them pretty much every day of their lives for 22 years!!!! Now....they aren't here. I guess it will just take some getting used to.

Sorry for the downer post. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive up here. I've got some errands to do so I'll be back later.

Hi Lisa! It's nice to see your haggish self around! I'm sorry you are having a hard time with your boys moving out and everything. I'm glad you got to have a family trip to WDW beforehand though! Is your older son planning on getting hitched to his woman? She seemed like a nice gal.

I just made a reservation for Melting Pot for my birthday on Thurs. Well, I had one made, but I had to call back and add one person onto the reservation. That is gonna be one expensive meal! When DH and I go alone, it's $100, just for us, and we don't even order alcohol! Now there are six of us going! I feel kinda guilty now.

Well, I went to work today, but at around 11:00, DD10's school called and said she was sick. So I had to leave and go pick her up. I was glad because I wasn't feeling well at work and I yakked all over the bathroom! I spent a dang long time mopping the floor afterward. But did we go home and rest? Noooooo. We went to lunch at olive Garden and then stopped at the Party store, where I proceeded to spend $112 on things for my class. Somebody STOP ME!!
