I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!

I will be teaching in the elementary school that was my first choice! My role with be that of a Special Educator servicing children with moderate disabilities. I was literally screaming as soon as I hung up the phone. I hurried and dialed my cousin who's a principal in the same county. She said, "I've known for an hour and have been waiting for you to call!!"

Thank you to everyone who sent good vibes and crossed their fingers for me! DH and I are estatic.

The only downside is that I will be cancelling our family trip in October. However, DH suggested taking DS for a Daddy/Son trip! I may be slowly converting him!

I'm just home from Bourne Ultimatum. We enjoyed it!

Came home to find out DD10 was being a turd with her friend Courtney (they've been getting progressively turdlier). So I told her no video games for two days and no playing with Courtney for a while. She went upstairs and slammed her door HARD. I came up and gave her a whoopin'. She was not expecting that, she has not been spanked for years. Now I feel bad. But I don't want my child being naughty!

I'm sorry to hear about DD, Bon. I know what you mean about feeling guilty with punishments. Sometimes being a parent is frustrating.

Sorry you had to be a mean mom today We once took Kates door away from her for slamming it one too many times I love thinking up off the wall punishments. Kate's new phrase when she isnt getting her way is "I just wish I had parents who let me do what ever I want *sniffle whine*" So I usually sniffle/whine back "I just wish I had a daughter who did what she was told when she was told!" Gee...I wonder why she thinks I'm mean
