Hello, Chatters! I'm at the library on my lunch hour, so I have no access to MSN. Is anyone around to chat with me? I wish I were around during the day to chat with you ladies! What good times we'd have!

Must I remind you of all of the posts that were lost in the great offensive debacle of 06 & 07. I would have been up to about 4,000 now. Of course if this were MSN I would be up to LBelle numbers by now.

I won't be around much for lunch chats during the summer because we're usually at my parents' pool by 11:30 or so each day. I wasn't sure if I told anyone that and I saw that Bon asked where I was earlier!

Well Chatters: I have some fabulous GOOD NEWS and some HORRIBLE NEWS ....


First Diana: She did amazing. The surgery was a complete success. All your prayers WORKED. Many, many thanks for thinking of her. One full year to recover. She has plates and nuts and bolts in her hand and wrist but she is in really good spirits.

Second my DSis: Her house burned down in Kennebunk, Maine. It is a lovely older two family house. Her landlord is 95yo and lives on the first floor. DSis lives on the 2nd floor with DNiece. This happened this morning...Fran (landlord) was melting a candle in a pan on the stove confused3 ) and forgot about it and next thing my DSis hears is the smoke detectors and goes downstairs to investigate and the whole kitchen is in raging flames, black smoke everywhere and Fran is trying to figure out how to dial 911 in the smoke. DSis tells her to get outside as DSis is dialing 911 from her cell and running back up to her apt to get DNiece. Everyone got out fine. Red Cross is putting them up for 6 days all expenses and it appears at this time the town's Code Enforcement will not allow them back in. Quite a bit of damage. DSis is looking now for a new apt. My parents live the next town over (in the summer) and DSis and DNiece can move there until they get proper housing. Thank the Dear Lord DSis was home or who knows what would have happened to Fran and DNiece...?

My parents are trying so hard to cope with all of this....the past few weeks have been horrible and at age 80yo they appear very frail of late trying to understand why so much bad is happening all at once...?

So sorry to hear about the fire Kar. Hope everything works out for them.

Last night I got the dreaded call, my grandfather died. He'd been having lots of problems with his heart but he died of a blood clot in his lungs. So this weekend I will be going to Dallas and I'm not sure when I will be returning here. I'll talk to ya'll later.

Bon, I bet the concert was awesome. I remember those days then the kiddos were younger and we would go to the Spring Concerts...the talent in so many of the students was amazing. Sounds you all had a great time and then DQ afterwards...my fav!

Hi all my chatter friends. I miss everyone. Rella thanks for the best wishes but today is going to be as bad as yesterday! However, on the bright side it is my birthday weekend and I will having a visit from Captain Morgan in about 4 hours so I have that going for me. I just love when the Captain visits!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Hugs to Kim on the passing of her grandfather and still best wishes to Kar and her family.
