A random and way OT tidbit...my 6 pound shih tzu mix is chasing my 80 lb lab all over the house and nipping at his tail. I am just rolling watching them. He could eat her in three bites and yet he is running like a lion is on his tail! It's one of the funniest things I have seen in a good long time. I should get the video camera out but I am too lazy...I would rather sit here and DIS! Who wouldn't!!

Very upsetting to read when you have teens.

How old are your kids? I have three boys. They are 10, 7 and 5.

Also, I started on your trip report! I was taken aback when I read your first post....

It so perfectly describes our start to our Disney trips. Eight years ago I found out I had an auto immune disease that can have serious consequences. I ended up in the hospital and taking a serious look at "what if".

Blessedly, the disease did go into remission. I will always have it...but my flare ups have never been as bad as the inital one and I am thankfully able to live life without any sort of treatment at this point.

ANYHOO...this scare is what got me to stop being so "in the future" and got me to start smelling the roses and really seeing the beauty of not only the roses but the dandelions too! I wouldn't wish it on anyone else, but for me, I don't know if I have ever been given a greater blessing then to get so sick. It really changed my outlook and taught me so many very amazing lessons!!

Sorry to hear about your autoimmune disease also. I know exactly what you mean by smelling the roses and changing your outlook on life.
