Hi ladies!

How is everyone today?

I think i can convince DH into a 3 night DCL cruise to go with our August WDW trip this year!!!!

I found a good price on Expedia, but I asked for a DU quote to see if they can do better.

Cross fingers!!!

Yeah, but if you've seen any of my other postings about this year's vacation, you would know that it seems like everything I start planning, Dh decides he doesn't want to pay for. Even with a $17K raise!!:sad2:

Oh Sarah. I'll cross my fingers AND toes.............and if he comes on here I'll tell him he HAS to pay for it!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

He's in the other room playing Zelda. I'll tell him you said we have to go!

We want to save for a new house and start a family, so they money will get gobbled up fast, but I think we should just live a little and do something we haven't done.

DH just hates spending big chunks of money which is why I handle everything! :teeth:

Plus we thought of Europe or Hawaii, but i can't get over the airfare. We'll save them for later.

We can go to WDW and DCL and spend less than half the other places would cost.

I REALLY want to try that cruise!! (and then book for a 7 nighter for next year! SHHHH!) :teeth:

Pixie!! i get to ask you all about cruising!!

I think I talked DH into a 3 night cruise at the end of our August WDW vacation in August!! ETA: Yes it's in August!! lol

I'm more sure this might happen than any of my other vacation ideas lately.

Now I got to get serious about the weight loss.

What dinner seating is better?

We prefer the first seating, just because we don't like to eat late.

Let me just say you will fall in love with it....I never thought I would feel like that ...but it was the absolute best trip EVER.

Well, the last time we thought about cruising I didn't think DH would go full time so soon, so now that his is (99% sure) we can afford a short one this year and then I can book a long one for next year (if they have them for next summer).

How many have you been on?

We've just been on the one three day cruise...in 2005, but saving up to hopefully go on a 7 day in 2008.

I sound corny...but I can't say enough positive things about it.

I havent' seen many people around here or anywhere else that don't LOVE DCL once they've gone.

DH thinks I'll hate it, but I'm sure I won't.

So did you use the disney transfers? Did you do the cruise after WDW? I see it in your siggy. They will transfer you from say CSR to the port and then from the port to the airport right?

I think I can use DME to get to CSR.

We actually drove ourselves. We did the land first...it was great because since we did the land/sea...we didn't have to check in at the port.

::yes:: It's definitely important to live a little and have fun with money. ....My DH doesn't like to spend big chunks of money either. I handle all the bill paying every month. ......Speaking of Europe, what's the cost of airfare nowadays to there? Back in 1996 I flew non stop on Air France from San Francisco to Paris. My ticket was a whopping $1,500. :scared1:

You booked it as land/sea? I want to book seperatly I think. I want more than 4 days at WDW. We might end up driving too...no, I guess not. The cruise is until 8/19 and DH will probably have his first teacher day at school on Monday. For us to drive and him go to school the next day would be awful.

So much to think about! :teeth:

The lowest I found for a regular ticket was just under $1000 each, but an openjaw which is what we really need, would be about $1300. And this is from the east coast!

Plus the value of the dollar is sooo low. Plus I really don't want to go to Italy as much as I want to go to France and England, but we can't do all 3 and with DH being an artist, it's hard to argue over the other two.

I was trying to figure out if we could go to France and Italy, but it's just oo much to spend when we have other things that are more important to save for.

Plus we will both be able to retire before we are 60, so we'll go when we retire, hopefully the dollar will be doing better by then!

It's probably better to do it separately. We stayed in a cat 4 aft. Just wait to you see Castaway Cay.

We're going for as cheap as possible of course, so we'll probably be in a 12. I think I would prefer it anyway as I'm not a big boating person and I love it really dark at night.

Does the ship feel really crowded ever? I will probably avoid the pools.

Did you do any excursions? I'd love to do a dolphin encounter.

It can get crowded at the kiddie pool....we only did one excursion at Bahamas it was a city tour.

I have to go....I will be back later.
