Hey, how do you like that NETFLIX plan...is it as easy as they say on their ADS???

I love netflix!! I highly recommend it! Most convenient!

What did you watch? We watched The Black Dahlia and Invincible this weekend, and neither one blew my skirt up.

Sorry your skirt did not blow. More's the pity.

We've been renting season one of Gilmore Girls. We also got Devil Wears Prada. I enjoyed them both!

So what were you girls up to today? Anything fun?

Lord no. She drinks every day. Been in rehab more times that I can count, just in the last 2 years. DH had her arrested for public intox because her DH leaves and leaves DH to deal with her, and her DH goes and gets her out of jail. Everything DH does to try to get her help, her DH undermines it. It is constant, but when he is out of town I guess there is no one there to moderate her.

I know. And I know I sound jaded. But it gets old old old.

Both my DH's parents were full blown alcoholics. Is was so sad seeing this...actually, DH is 52yo now, but the stories of their excessive drinking when he was a youngster, well I told him, the State would have taken you away from them if that was TODAY.

They both drank forever, until Grampa died in 2001 and believe this one, My MIL has NEVER had a drink since. We had virtually no relationship because when HE drank he would swear at her and say horrible things to her and be so angry and SHE would cry cry cry and I told both of them, I WILL NOT BRING THE BOYS AROUND TO SEE YOU. I told them I never experienced this growing up and my children would not. If we were at their house and they started, I got in the car and left. And we live an hour away.

NOW, my MIL is just so fabulous. NEVER EVER drinks. Just stopped cold turkey upon FIL's death......... odd, but I am happy. Because she is just the best person in the whole wide world.

Today we all went to see THE GOOD SHEPHERD with Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie and it was AWESOME.

Then we went to RED ROBIN for dinner.

Nice Sunday together.

I cooked lunch, well breakfast for lunch, and got some housework done. BORING!

Both my DH's parents were full blown alcoholics. Is was so sad seeing this...actually, DH is 52yo now, but the stories of their excessive drinking when he was a youngster, well I told him, the State would have taken you away from them if that was TODAY.

They both drank forever, until Grampa died in 2001 and believe this one, My MIL has NEVER had a drink since. I think a huge part of her problem is her DH. She never drank before him, and despite all of the rehabs, he has told me that he doesn't think that she is an alcoholic, but that it is a mental health issue. Of course he is a functioning alcoholic so he doesn't want to see it anyway.

Thanks for the encouragement Kar. We deal with this crap all the time and it is pretty much old hat now.

Steph, that sounds bad. Sorry your family is going through that. I've never been around anyone who was an alcoholic or drug addict. I can only imagine that it is really difficult.

Oh, Bon, it was excellent, Damon was awesome. Pretty intense all about the CIA. It is quite long 2:50 minutes but moves right along so you do not realize it. Jolie was just so pretty as usual. So many fabulous actors, some doing bit parts, Joe Pesci looks so old as does Alec Baldwin but it was in part the make-up.
