is The Lucky Fortune Cookery ever open? I have been to DCA a couple of times and it has not been open?

Thanks!

they kinda open during the foods and wine festival. Thats about all.

It was unfortunately one of the several restaurants that ended up on the closed list fairly early on - DCA opened up VERY restaurant and shop heavy - too many to be supported by the minimal attendance.

Yeah, everytime I go I've noticed too it's never open.. But right in that area is Pacific Warf Cafe and Cocina Cucamonga and the Lucky Fortune Cookery place.. That's all too close in one area I think..

I think it's a myth that it's ever been open.

I remember it was open when CA first opened and nobody was eating there. Since then I have never seen it open, I'm surprised the signage is still up. Too many places in one spot, although I think the idea was to have various food options in one area.

Maybe it just wasn't that good and maybe people are not thinking Chinese while at CA. People want sourdough bowls and tacos apparently!

I wish DCA had more nods to Chinese cultures, and the restaurant never being open doesn't help.

What I wonder is why the condiments stand is always fully stocked every single time I see it.. :rotfl:

I agree! I'm kind of surprised to hear the signs are STILL up and nothing has been done there. I'm sure something will happen with the big refurb..but the last time I was there was 2006 and noticed it was empty, and I'm surprised it's still just sitting there closed.

I didn't even know DCA had a Chinese food restaurant. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

It didn't last long. We DID eat there once in the first 6 months the park was open - but I don't believe it lasted much beyond that. I've read on MiceAge and/or MousePlanet that they use it during DCA's version of F&W - but not for Chinese food! The signs definitely should be removed.
