I haven't gone to the doctor for my hip issue. I read about it online and figured out that I believe it was/is either my IT band or bursitis. So I find it interesting that you were thinking it may have been your IT band and now you are diagnosed with the bursitis. I notice my hip feels sore if I sit cross-legged too much, or if I sleep on my right side for too long (it is my right hip). Maybe I should just go to the doctor....ugh.
Maybe you should go get it checked. My ortho said that it was a good thing I came in shortly after it started bothering me because the longer you wait, the longer it takes to heal. And who wants to spend any more time away from running than they have to?
