The Love Dare

We bought a copy of this book as it goes along with the Fireproof couples series we are doing in our Sunday School class and all I can say is WOW! Never have I seen DH grab hold of a book (other than the Bible) and take off with it like this.

It's featured in the movie "Fireproof". If you haven't seen it, it is a good movie and worth the time to watch it!

DH won't let me touch his copy of The Love Dare, said I have to wait until his 40 days are up or I'll have to go buy my own.

Several years ago I got the book "The Power of a Praying Wife", it changed my life and how I looked at prayer and DH. So I thought, "I need to get him The Power of a Praying Husband". I did, I don't think he ever made it past Chapter 3 (even with me nagging which means I needed to go back and read mine more). But The Love Dare is a different story. It's great!!!!! I have seen such a change in his attitude and actions in the past week. He's having a hard time finding steady work but since he's started reading this book and getting into studying the scriptures more.....he has a good attitude and outlook about it instead of being down and depressed. He also has been so kind and considerate to me.........

I'm not an incredibly religious person, but heard great things about this book and bought it a couple of days ago. I have yet to crack it open, but will be soon!

I hope you enjoy it. DH is not a big reader (he hates to read actually) but this book has been great for him.

DH and I just started The Love Dare a couple of days ago!

My hubby and I were doing it "together" as we would spend time reading together and what not... I do have to say that I think it is better if you read and do it at your own pace and not knowing where your spouse is in the book that way you are not wondering why they are "doing this" or not "doing that" when you think they should be!

Also, there are going to be "dares" in there that you are not going to be able to do that day because of this or that... Or they may not apply at the time. Just make note to go back to the page when you can do it!

Really you don't have to take what I have said, but that is what I found with talking with our church group and my own thoughts.

Run at it full speed and don't stop, it is a wonderful thing!
