...is on tv land right now!!!!! Ahhh the memories!!!! Was doc as big of a geek back then as he appears now?!?!?

With my first cruise planned and booked for next June, I admit to watching The Love Boat lately! :teeth:

I think they ALL look like geeks. And what's with all the S-E-X talk and people sleeping together within 5 minutes of meeting?!?!?!? I don't remember that, either! LOL

It's a very tacky show, but I love seeing the "cruise" aspect of it!! :p

Tacky!!! That's the word I was looking for!!!

Hey, a commercial just said....

IT's A MARATHON!!!!!

25th anniversary!! WOW, am I old!!!

Well I'm old too because it started in my junior year of high school! :D September 1977!!!

That show is a sad commentary on the late 70's to mid 80's!!! :teeth:

Height of the sexual revolution.

I used to watch it all the time. :)

And yes, they were geeks then too.

I love that show. My dd and I watch it all the time.:) Doc isn't a geek. He's sweet.:)

Whoooow.....that brought back a memory!! I use to do that too!!! I think it was a right of passage for early teen girls in the '80's!!!!

Add me to that list too!!

Wait a minute.....this isn't the over-30 thread, is it??:p :p

I had a semi-crush on Doc. :teeth:

I always liked geeky guys, even though I married the complete opposite. :)

I think that would be the *barely* over 30 thread, right?!?
Terri
(who also got to watch Dallas/Dynasty/Falcon Crest on Fridays while babysitting. Maybe I should start a "babysitting in the 80s "thread...)

I liked Gofer (Fred Grandy)(I think that's his last name) anyway I always liked the picked on ones. Gofer, Gilligan, Howie (Fall Guy)....... the 70's and 80's were great. Young and not a care in the world. What memories.........

Memories......(I'd sing that, but my kids say I can't sing!!!)

Dallas was the first show I watched when my parents bought me a little b/w tv for my bedroom one christmas!!! That and I remember being up at like 4 in the morning to watch Princess Diana marry Prince Charles......

You could take little pieces of Julie and use it for saccharine. :p Nobody is THAT sweet all the time. ;)

I used to love some of the guests they had on. Some of them couldn't act worth a darn and it just made the show funnier.

Yes, I used to watch it a lot

Ah, but you had to love the guest stars as different characters.

Just the other day, I was flipping channels and had to stop when I saw Juan Epstien being pursued by Marsha Brady!
