So I wasn’t quite sure as to when it was ok to post a Pre-Trip Report, but I’ve been stuck at home for a couple of days with a horrible cold (one of many I get throughout the year), so what a better way to spend the time than to write this. I’ve spent the last two days reading quite a few TRs, preparing myself for my own. Now on to the main characters of our story…

Me-Angie (20) princess: Lover of all things Disney since the age of two. Been to WDW over 30 times. Parents claim that I freaked the entire time I was there for the first time, and I supposedly threw up on someone resembling MJ from that Captain thingy that used to be in EPCOT. Loves the princesses(with the utmost admiration for Aurora and Belle) and Tinkerbell, can’t get enough of the DIS boards, long time lurker, finally joined a couple of months ago. A true bookworm. Nursing student.

DBF-Miguel (23):darth: Loves all things Star Wars & Transformers-he truly loves the 80's. Loves all the Disney Villians, a great guy, been with me through the wonderful transition from high school to college, and all the fun times in between. Before me, he had horrible experiences with the world (mostly due to that unorganized family of his-I love them but it’s the truth).

Why are we going? Pssshh…as if there needs to be a reason. Usually there isn’t, but this time there is. Last year we were supposed to celebrate our second anniversary [we had celebrated our first at WDW so we were trying to start our own little tradition], but thanks to a rather awful hurricane season (the most active I’ve ever seen- have lived in Miami all my life), our plans to visit the world for a weekend were crushed by Hurricane Wilma  (boo you Wilma); ended up going to my very first concert -Green Day, so a suitable somewhat replacement for missing out on Disney. Since then I’ve been planning this trip. So far 2006 has been my most visited Disney year in a long time, went in January for my mother’s birthday (this has become a tradition in the last couple of years, she won’t admit it but she loves Disney, especially EPCOT) we stayed at POP, we’re always a bunch of people and we usually take advantage of the great Florida resident rates.

Then again in March with my mom and sister(who was 6 months pregnant at the time), so for the first time ever we did Disney w/o the parks. Stayed at the CBR for the second time (don’t remember the first time very much, except it was freezing [remember Miami blood freezes at a much higher temperature than most] must have been for mom’s birthday years ago). Did La Nouba for the first time, and have been dying to do it again. DBF surprised me for my 20th birthday, with a week long trip to Disney. Stayed off-site for the first time ever (wow a lot of firsts this year) but through a family friend we were able to rent a villa for $167 for the whole week  (who can pass that up, and it was less than 10 minutes from the entrance of WDW).

On our last trip, we purchased Seasonal passes (we don’t mind the block out dates because I can’t stand going during the summer) so that’s something that we don’t have to worry about in our budget. The day the rates for Passholders came out, I jumped on that and reserved two nights at the ASM (October 27th-29th our anniversary is on the 28th). Ok that’s out of the way, we would have stayed longer and enjoyed ourselves more but I just recently started nursing school and a weekend away is all I can get. Made only one ADR for our anniversary dinner @ CP, we just kinda wing the rest of it. We’re “planning” on doing EMH at EPCOT on the 27th, MK on the 28th (this is a for sure), and MGM or AK on the 29th. So for now I’m just patiently waiting :hourglass , filling the free time with The Little Mermaid & Peter Pan and the Starcatchers that I just picked up.

I’m off to pick up my LGMH’s (did I get that right?) tomorrow, I have a friend that works at Home Depot and was kind enough to grab me some. So 18 days and a three-ish hour ride left to go…hope you all will stay tuned for my lovey dovey trip.

You are so lucky to live so close. Good luck with nursing school. A lot of my dd's friends are in nursing school and many only take 12 credits a semester because the cirrculum is really tough. But no one says you have to take a full load each semester.

Looking forward to your TR. Let me know when you want to start your TR, I'll move it to the TR Board and then you can change your title too.

Nursing school is the reason why our trip is so short, (better short than nothing at all right). The day after I graduate I'll be celebrating in Disney again, (crossing my fingers for Dec. 2007).
I'll let you know when I come back from my trip. Thanks.

So I spent most of my sick days reading a lot of TRs and I just felt as if there was something missing from my little mini lovey dovey trip. On our first trip ever to WDW the DBF and I had breakfast at Trail's End. I spent most of my trips to WDW as a child at the cabins, so Trail's End has a sort of sentimental feel for me. So on Oct. 28th we'll be having breakfast there @ 8:40 (right before MK opens so we don't waste valuable MK time), that gives us enough time to eat our favorite CS for lunch (Casey's... :thumbsup2 ) head back to our hotel, and get ready for our anniversary dinner at the Crystal Palace (which I moved back to 8:20 pm). I had a wonderful CM, Sheryl, help me out with my ADRs, and she even put down that it was our anniversary, which they hadn't put before.

Only 16 days left...started Peter Pan and the Starcatchers today.

Sorry you're sick. Hopefully, it'll clear up before your trip. I know it's a few weeks off, but my colds tend to stick around for awhile.

Have fun!

Hi Resol37 thanks for the well wishes, the doctor gave me some antibiotics and I'm starting to slowly but surely feel a lot better. I don't know what I would do if this lasted until my trip. I read your PTR, and saw that you're an Old Navy flip flop fan...I think I pack more of those than anything possible. I love them. I think you're my foot twin (don't know if you've seen Friends something about a hand twin...lol). Enjoy your trip.

I know exactly what you're talking about! Joey and his hand twin in Vegas!

I once had a dream that I owned a pair of Old Navy flip flops in every color. I was so sad when I woke up. Most of mine are still in boxes from when I moved back in with my parents, so I've decided to splurge the $3.50 to buy a new pair for WDW.

Things always get interesting before trips to the World...I was wishing it wouldn't happen before this trip, but of course it did. The schedule for my school changes every month, and the new schedule starts on this upcoming Monday, we're leaving on Friday (we're 9 days out from our depature...yay single digits!!!) So I lucked out with a Monday-Friday 8am -1 pm Anatomy class, with the first major test being when I come back from my lovely trip to Disney.

Great. :guilty:

I had planned to leave from Miami early in the morning, knowing that most likely our room wouldn't be ready in time, and just hop over to EPCOT. Now we won't be able to leave until at least 1pm. Oh well..I guess I'll be learning about Anatomy on my car ride up. Nothing is going to deter me from having a great anniversay.

Oh quick question, with all the times that I've been to WDW I've never done Extra Magic Hours. On the night of our arrival, EPCOT has evening EMH, how do I go about being able to get stay at night, is there a cut-off time as to when I need to get the bracelets by? TIA.

So sitting here in my scrubs (this sure does make me feel very nurse like), I'm anxiously waiting for this class to be over. Dissections today, not the best set up for a trip to the World, but it will have to do. We should be departing around 1 pm. and be arriving the world at about oh 4:30-5:00. See you all when I get back.
