The lost camera Saga! Update: 9/5 FOUND, 9/8 PICS!

I did the EXACT same thing..only lost muy HUBBYs camera I JUST bought him for his b-day ($ 500 camera) AND with a 1 GB memory card (expensive)AND a new case(my friend and I went and I just couldn't tell him until I got home...(I had to act "normal" when we spoke on the phone). I was DEVISTATED! I actually looked at EVERYONES cameras too... just so HARD to lose something as valuable as a camera and pictures, especially the fact that ist wasn't even "MY" camera!

I lost my camera on 8/28 - still no word from Disney. Second camera lost in the world so my bad.

I'm sorry to hear about your camera..
One thing to check on, and my wife told me this - after she called lost&found.. the CM at lost&found wasn't totally sure in the first place that they had actually found our camera - because there's *lots* of cameras that do look the same to people.. only after we had them 'turn on the camera' and look at a couple pictures (pics of the boys showed up and they described 'yes, there's this cute chinese kid') did we know that it was actually our camera

So, they might/might not have it even, and just not know it because all the camera's look the same.. if you know something specifically that distinguishes it (other than color, make).. the more you know (time, place, memory card size, things lost with it), it might help..

I know it may not help in your case, but i'll keep my fingers crossed for you

For all people - definetly 'label' your stuff somehow.. that's something I"ve learned for sure

I've been following this also & I'm so happy for you & your family!!! I like to think that all good people go to Disney!!!!!!!!!!!

I realy find Disney brings out the best in people. I lost my DH vidio camara, it was returned, I have read many of thread wear things are returned. I will never loose sight of the good in people.

That is great news to have the camera recovered. This is why we bring our laptop with us every trip - I upload the photos every night because a good friend of ours lost her camera a few years back on the last day of their trip with 10 days worth of photos on the memory card.

Another good tip is to photograph a business card or something with your phone number on it as your first picture.

They said they had two camera's turned in during August up till my date.
Only one was a kodak easyshare, and a lady named Eleanor claimed it.
The other was a samsung.

I lost my cell phone on RnRC 2 weeks ago...I called Lost and Found the next day and someone had actually handed it in and I was able to pick it up from Central Lost and Found by the Magic Kingdom..I was SO relieved!!!

I never thought about this till now, but it reminds me of something I just thought of... during this same trip (where I had lost the camera), we had actually taken a trip to go look at the DVC program thing..

Well, on the van ride back, I remember now, that I found a cell phone (I think it was verizon flipper) when we were getting out of the van (not my phone, obviously).. Gave it to the CM driving the van.. I wonder if whoever's phone that is got back to that person.. It'd be nice
