I know from some other threads I am pretty sure she doesnt have kids, she doesnt get it from that angle. The "stay home and cook them a meal comment" is annoying me but I dont know how to respond YET!

I forgot to add about gas stations too. I had a friend who could not understand this and she was saying well I always pay cash, I am not getting into the credit card trap, well 5 years ago she adopted her son as an infant and she actually called me and apologized bc she never realized how hard it was going to be to do that small task if they are sleeping etc.

Yes I am going to have to be careful not to get sucked into this argument all day. I need to get something acoomplished

Mr & Mrs Smith doesn't have children yet. She was on the Disney wedding planning board for awhile, then came back from her honeymoon with the "disgust" about the old children in strollers post.

It is always SO easy to sit back and play armchair parent until you have one of your own. I hope I wasn't ever so pompous before I had mine.

Good Morning,

I am back from being sucked into the vortex of sick kids. I had two of them with fevers and very lethargic. My DD now seems to have the cough from Hades.

Off to catch up on the thread, and to catch up on the Drive thru one. I actually saw it before I saw this one.

Geez, I actually get stuff accomplished this morning & I come here & find I've missed a whole lot of fun.

I got up this morning, got the kids to school (not necessarily on time but there were a lot of cars behind me too), went to WalMart, Publix, actually put all the groceries away, cleaned the kitchen, made the bed & I have a load of laundry on it's second turn in the dryer. I need to go outside & start trimming up the dead plants. It looks like I have stick bushes in my flower beds.

But first I'm going to check out those other threads. Man, if she ever came on here her head would implode from everything that obviously goes so against her grain. I'd pay to see that. OMG! HRH sent her kid to school in clothes he wore the day before! Quick, call child services!

Ok, just popped in to say a quick hello. But I see all the fun is going to be on the drive thru thread. So I'll head over there for a few.

I have got to be a WINNER today. Don't hold it against me. But I swear if I don't do some laundry, we'll be taking dirty clothes on vacation. And I have to give DH and my two boys haircuts. And the dishes are multiplying in the sink. And when I woke up DS8 for school this morning, I noticed that he seems to have lost his fitted sheet (how you do that, I'll never know) and his room is such a mess that I can't find it.

Anyhow, lots to do. But first -- off to the drive thru!!

I just put up another. That poster really chaps my a**. She is making such broad statements I don't think she gets it. Our time is precious...why waste it wandering the supermarket or standing in line?

Because she packs herself a healthy lunch everyday for when she walks to work and then meanders home blissfully at the end of a not-so-hard days work, chatting w/others on the street on the way so that she has time to go all the way into the store & wander each aisle commenting on every single item on the shelf.

At least that's how I'm reading it. Seems to have nothing else going on so there's plenty of time in the day to mill about.

I love how she says she is justifying her opinion but when others justify theirs...they are called lazy. I am sorry...I am not lazy for wanting to maximize what time I do have. And I think others on this thread and the other one will agree with me on this.

I love the pre-child strongly opinionated people, they have the best ideas of how life should be handled

You reward your child for _____________ (fill in the blank with any meaningless task that they take for granted but you have spent the last 2 hours argueing with a 2 year old)

or the infamous

I would never allow MY child to ____________ (example here would be: let my child sleep in their school clothes, wear pajamas/costume/bathing suit to the store/school/etc.

....you get the point
