Does anyone know much about the Tokelau longhouse at the Polynesian? Does anyone recommend another building. I have two children how far are the walks to the Great Ceromonial House? Which Buildings are the loudest?

The best thing I can tell you is take a look at http://tikiman2001.homestead.com/index.html this site has everything you could ever hope to know about the Polynesian - as for my experience (which is limited to just 2 trips) there really is no place that is more than a 5 minute walk from the Great Cerimonal house and the grounds are wonderful for a walk anytime of day !

Tokelau is a fine building, and an easy and short walk to the GCH.

Rooms on one side of the building look over the quiet pool (but it's not far from the Volcano pool, either.) The other side overlooks the lush landscaping, and you can see the lagoon from a few of the rooms. You're not far from the TTC, so it's easy to stroll over to catch the monorail.

I like the rooms in Tokelau,

We have stayed at Tolelau, this building runs north to south, end faces MK. The location is handy to the TTC, we sometimes take the big steamboat to the MK. Out the north door of the longhouse, and your at the walkway to the wedding hill point, great places for the water parade and fireworks. Out the center door of longhouse the quiet pool is a very short walk and beyond that the GCH and theme pool. All in all, there is no really bad room, except maybe a view of the monorail or parking lot. This longhouse is very close to the bus stop. Highly recommend it!

Someone mentioned to avoid rooms in the Tokelua Building that look over the monrail parking lot. Does anyone know what end of the building that is or what room that it. Plus what about the Tahiti Building. Is it too far of a walk to the GCH for kids?

We stayed in Tokelau on our honeymoon and found the location to be perfect. Our room faced the quiet pool and the view was fantastic. The arcade and laundry are right at the end of the building and the bus stop is right around the corner. It is less than a 5 min. walk to the GCH and volcano pool and the TTC is only about 7 or 8 min. away by foot.

Tokelau does not overlook a parking lot. And as mentioned is an easy walk to GCH and TTC. We have always stayed here and have loved it.

There is only one building with a direct parkinglot view and that is the west side of Rapa Nui. Rarotonga faces a parking lot and the monorail but most of the rooms can't even see past the garden area and monorail to see the parking lot only a few upper floor rooms can see any of the parking lot but even then I don't see it as a bad view and many like to watch the monorail go by.

As Twigs said Tokelau does not look toward any parking lot.
