Please be nice to me as I've never written a trip report, I also didn't take that many photos and the ones I have taken I don't know how to put them on the computer let alone within the trip report but I might learn for future!

Day 1

Up at 5.30am to get the 7.00 am train from Luton to St Pancreas, it was certainly fun struggling with our cases through the rush hour traffic!! We found the Eurostar terminal very easy and checked in very quickly. I was a little peeved that there only seemed to be 2 small coffee shops and 1 WH Smith shop once you are through Security, I was expecting a few more shops once you were through. The train was quite comfy and we soon settled into our seats making a stop at Lille on the way :confused3 thought this was supposed to be the direct Disney service!! We had all our park tickets, vouchers given to us on the train along with our disney express luggage tags so as soon as the train got in, we were off to the luggage place to dump our cases! We then noticed it was pouring with rain!!

Oh well, out came the rain macs and we headed to Walt Disney Studios, mainly because I hadn't seen it at all. We had a look at the queue time for Crushes Coaster and it was only 30 mins so we queued for that, it was a brilliant ride I just wasn't expecting the spinning part to be so full on!!! We were able to walk on for the following 2 rides, Tower of Terror - I never want to do that ride ever again!!:scared1: and Rock n Roller Coaster - fab ride, really enjoyed that!!

It was about 2pm now so we headed over to the Magic Kingdom and straight to City Hall for some meal bookings. Plaza Gardens Tea Party was fully booked for our entire stay so I strongly suggest if you want to do this you book in advance.

We then headed down Liberty Arcade stopping for some chips at Casey's Corner - quite yummy actually and then onto Frontierland and my fav ride!! Big Thunder Mountain:worship: Managed to ride it 3 times and do Indian Jones before we had to leave the park as we had reservations at Cape Cod for 7.30pm. We decided as it was still raining to get the shuttle bus to our hotel the Sequoia Lodge, big mistake!!

We waited about 25 mins for a bus which was going to the Hotel New York, Sequoia Lodge and Newport Bay and there were hordes of people trying to get on the one bus!! We were lucky and managed to squeeze in but we didn't get time to check in at our hotel, we had to go direct to the Newport Bay for our dinner at Cape Cod - have written a seperate report on that thread, very yummy dinner and then we walked back to our hotel to check in.

We really liked this hotel from first impressions, it seemed very cosy and had a homely feel to it. We had a montana room which was great and as we walked around later in our stay and noticed where the lodges were we were very thankful we had stayed in the main building! We asked Concierge for a kettle and some polyester pillows then we had a drink in the bar and by the time we were back in the room our pillows and Kettle had arrived, great service. We set Goofy to wake us up at 6.45am and we went to bed very tired but with smiles all around.:)

:thumbsup2 Great start to the trippie Fiona,

More please!!!

Yes, more please! ;) Sounds like you had a fab 1st day and even 'fabber' was that the queues weren't too long!

Wow! You were so lucky with the queues!!

Cape Cod sounds lovely! I think I'm going to spend some time this trip looking at the other hotels. :-)

Great start, I look forward to reading the rest:goodvibes

So how was your second day then, hope the sun cam out for you :cool1:

Sounds fab so far, the queues sound like they were really on your side!
