That's going in my notes! I plan on seeing the fireworks on day one of stay. That leave me a number of nights to try and do this!
It's tough to time. BTMRR is just better at night. I rode it numerous times before I caught the couple dancing and the guy shooting in the building.
An odd but interesting place to watch the fireworks is the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House.
Hanging out in the Magic Kingdom after the fireworks are over watching the people leave the park. We grab a snack and drink find a place sit near Main Street and relax. It is fun to watch the kids in strollers who are just crashed from their day. Sometimes we stay until the "Kiss Goodnight." Either way it is so nice when we do finally leave the crowds are gone and we can stroll out to our not crowded bus. Cheers!!!!
I just have to say...we do this! We ride the small ferries between MK and the GF and Poly. This June, our captain, Bruce, sang, "Zip-ah-dee-doo-dah," and, "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" on the ride. He was AMAZING, and it was truly a magical part of our trip.
You got to tell me the deal is with the ketchup...Here are some of the best tips my family has discovered or been told:
- The Electric Water Pageant is really cute and can be seen from a few different places. (Polynesian: 9pm, Grand Floridian: 9:15pm, Wilderness Lodge: 9:30pm, Fort Wilderness: 9:45pm, Contemporary: 10pm)
- Get an "autograph" from Lady and the Tramp at Tony's restaurant in Magic Kingdom.
- Get some free soda at Club Cool in Epcot. And try the Beverly!
- Watching the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian is absolutely beautiful and they still play the soundtrack for you.
- Sometimes you can get an "edgier" Jungle Cruise ride later at night because there might not be any kids on the ride.
- Order the Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream. You won't regret it, especially if you have kids!
- You can sometimes get free ice cream just by going on a DVC tour.
- Ask for ketchup at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.
- If you have kids with you, request a free wake up call from a Disney character!
- Listen to the phones on Main Street USA and in Tomorrowland.
You'll have to go and see yourself. You got to tell me the deal is with the ketchup...
This is just a general thing, but if you have encountered a really stand-out cast member, head over to guest services and tell them! They'll have you fill out a little card. The cast member then gets recognized by their manager and it can help them with future promotions! Just a nice way to send the magic back to these awesome CMs that make our trips special.![]()
What a lot of on site guests who just use the buses don't get to experience is being on the Ferry heading over to MK and catching that first glimpse of the castle across the water. So exciting!
Heading across the water from where? Want to make sure I give that a try so we get to see it! Thank you!!What a lot of on site guests who just use the buses don't get to experience is being on the Ferry heading over to MK and catching that first glimpse of the castle across the water. So exciting!

I was referring to the ferry from the Transportation Center. We usually rent a car so we park at the TTC and take the ferry or monorail over to MK. I much prefer the ferry and have a wonderful memory of standing at the front of the boat with my DD waiting for the castle to come into view for the first time. She was so thrilled when she spotted it. Just not the same as when you arrive by bus or monorail.
Do you know if they do the kiss goodnight after MVMCP fireworks?Hanging out in the Magic Kingdom after the fireworks are over watching the people leave the park. Don't take a big swig!!!Nice Tips. I'm not sure I've every seen LADY AND THE TRAMP live characters. Going to have to go google images... maybe I just need to refresh my memory.
Definitely going to try that night time JUNGLE CRUISE!
I keep hearing about the BEVERLY at club Cool. I don't drink sugar (only water) but I'm going just to taste the BEVERLY! (*_*)
