The list of restaurants for DDE does not include Epcot counter svc?

I was looking over list of WDW eateries that give the Disney Dining Experience discount (trying to decide if it will be worthwhile for our Oct trip), and I didn't see any Epcot counter service places. Has anyone ever gotten the discount at the Japanese or Chinese counter service places? How about at Beaches & Cream and Pepper Market (as these are two other places we like)? Are the meal vouchers sold at Disney only available at AK, or can you get them at Epcot at well?

Beaches & Cream (non-takeout) is listed as a participating restaurant for the DDE. The Pepper Market is not.

Only sitdown restaurants are listed in EPCOT, the MK, and MGM. In the AK, Flame Tree, Tusker House and Pizzafari are listed. All of them are counterservice.

I thought I saw an "updated" list on Disney's website that said there were some couter service options available at Epcot. Are you saying that there are none in Epcot or MGM????????? If so, that's crazy.

Here is the list and you are right there is no counter service. However, you may want to check out 50's Prime Time Cafe, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at MGM and The Plaza Restaurant. They all have prices compare able to counter service and meals are big enough to split. If you are not wanting to go there because of time or not wanted to be waited on then I don't really have any advice.

I noticed that too. Pepper Market not being included is a big bummer as we always used to eat there with vouchers. We love to eat at the CS place from China and Morocco and they're not included either -- the dining plan wouldn't be worth it to us without them.

Food courts at resorts are not included IF that resort has a sit down restraurant. Since CSR has Maya, it is a sit down. The same goes for CBR and POR, both have restraurants, therefore there is NO food court discount. The only moderate with the discount is French Quarters since they have no restraurant and of course, all food courts at the value resorts.

When we were buying our AK/Meal Voucher deals in early February, we were unable to use the DDE discount to get them. You can get one food discount(Meal Vouchers) or another(DDE) but not two on the same food purchase. (The Vouchers were a better deal for us, by the way.)

For DDE the easy way to consider it is all table-service or buffet restaurants (except in Japan) accept DDE.

Counter Service locations in a Park or Resort where there are table service or buffet restaurants do not accept DDE.

All Stars, PopCentury, one part of Port Orleans, and Animal Kingdom do fit into ths category, so DDE is valid in there food courts or counter service.

Note that Rainforest is not a Disney Restaurant so Animal Kingdom is treated as no sit-down restaurants. Pepper Market is technically Food Court and the Maya Grill is table service.

Rainforest does not accept DDE, but for those of us that got DDE with our APs Rainforest at AK does give discounts for AP (for dinner), as does House of Blues (for lunch). Are there any other restaurants that honor AP discounts but not DDE?

So yes you can get an AP discount at these places, but only for lunch and Monday thru Friday.

Keep in mind that the resort discount for 10% AP holder are only for lunch and are also Monday thru Friday. The other locations ALL have similar rules, i.e. before 4:00PM and so forth. visit the passholder website for an extensive list of AP discounts.
