:simba: I bought tickets this weekend for January 12th 2007! Its 8 months away but I'm still excited to see it!

Who here has seen the show or has tickets for the current US tour??
I'm seeing it in Orlando, and I look to be in row D, but the rows go AA-KK then A-Z, so I think I'm going to be around row 15-17.

So, I'm wondering your thoughts on the show and also how the view was from where you were sitting. I haven't seen many stage productions that were in a big enough theater to worry about seating arrangements.

I have tickets to see it in Philly next month. I can't wait!!! Sorry I can't help you with the seating but I have heard that the actors come into the audience so I would guess that being down lower would be good. Have a great time no matter where you sit.

I just saw it this past Saturday here in San Antonio. We were orchestra level, 7 rows back and right smack in the middle. They were PERFECT seats. But after seeing it, I think it would have been a good view no matter where we sat. All the costuming is big enough on stage that everyone should be able to see what's going on with no problems. You will have a great time, it's a beautiful show and you leave totally amazed with it. Have fun :wave2:

DH took me to see LK here in San Jose for Valentine's Day - it was amazing! We had cheap (nosebleed) seats, but we could still see about 90% of what was going on. The show is so wonderful, I didn't feel like I missed out on anything at all.

The only downside for us was we were sitting in front of a row of teenagers who were rather noisy and disruptive throughout the performance. Two boys in particular were making rude comments and jokes and sometimes kicking the back of my seat. I was determined to not let them ruin the evening for me, so I managed to tune them out. A few of us did complain to the ushers, but nothing was done to remove the kids.

But enough of the downer! Enjoy the show - it's really incredible, and I'd gladly pay to see it again!

I saw The Lion King on Broadway in NYC in January of 2005. We were in the 3rd row and the show and the seats were amazing!! No matter where you're sitting, as long as you can see, you're going to love the show!

I loved the touring Lion King show!
They even removed seats to form interior aisles when they came to our venue. I've never seen any other production do that. But it really added to the effect.

We had great seats right on one of the interior aisles and about 10 rows back. Perfect location. Even better, they were on the "wrong" side of the aisle... but I could have touched the folks in the VIP seats across from us and our tickets were waaay less $$.

I agree that everything in the show is so big that you would be fine much further back as well.

We also saw it on Broadway. had orchestra seats and it was amazing. One of the better plays. You will love it.

I'm glad to hear so many great comments. DH and I are going to see it on Broadway in August. We are celebrating our 20th Anniversary. Oh! We have tickets for Tarzan too.

Can't wait!!!!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :Pinkbounc

We bought tickets to see it here in Denver in October. We are taking DS 7 and DS 4 (who will be 5 by then). We are all very excited to go!

DBF and I saw it last year (maybe the year before). It was amazing!!!! You will love it! Have fun!

I saw it on Broadway about 4 years ago. It was very impressive. The best thing about it was the staging and costumes. It was amazing to watch the stage transform like it did.

I saw it in Cincinnati a few years ago, we were in the orchestra section (on an aisle) and it was fabulous!!!
Beauty and the Beast is also wonderful!!! Truth be told, I actually liked Beauty and the Beast just a little bit better.

My family saw The Lion King on Broadway/NYC 4 times. It is just simply fabulous!!! :goodvibes

My suggestion to the OP: buy the CD and start playing it over and over again about one month prior to going to the show it will get you so in the mood!! :goodvibes

Also, if your seats are Orchestra (which I think they sound like they are) AWESOME as the CAST does allot of walking in the aisles in the Orchestra section!!! :goodvibes

It is a very colorful and wonderfully choregraphed production. One time I took just my youngest DS, we had FIRST ROW, Orch and we BROKE OUR NECKS looking up at the stage....ugh....still we had a blast. I got to see SCAR, up close and personal THAT DAY!!! ::yes::

Have the best time. I know it is months away...but you need to Post back and tell us what you thought of LION KING!!!!!!!! :simba:

Woohoo!

Sounds like there should be no bad seats in the house! :thumbsup2
Now I wish I would have gone for cheaper seats! $75 a piece was a bit rough, but there's only two of us and by the time January comes I'll have forgotten about the money I spent anyway :rotfl:

Hopefully I wont forget I'm supposed to go! LoL I will definetly try to post after seeing the show!

I saw it in San Francisco. It was my first musical that I'd ever seen. It was simply amazing, so much so that I cried from the sheer beauty of it. The new music touched me, and I found myself singing the songs that I already knew. Be prepared for an awesome experience. The opening will take your breath away! :woohoo:

I saw the show last month - it was excellent.

Our seats were Premium seats - my friend has the Disney Visa. With that being said, I spent a little more on this show than i'm usually comfortable with however the show was worth the money and i'm glad I got to see the broadway version.

Enjoy!
