Our "Magical Disney Trip" part 3

We had our own "Magical Gathering"
We had four families get together :
1. me (organizer and planner), DH, DS#2 17yrs old, and 2 of DS's friends - Fort Wilderness
2. DH's sister (SIL), her husband (BIL), and their 4yr old daughter (niece) - Fort Wilderness
3. My Mom and my step-dad - Off-site
4. DS#1, his wife and my 2yr old grandson (Graham) - All Star Sports

Day 7 - June 18
We woke up about 7:30 and made coffee - we’ve got a pattern here! 90 days earlier I had been on the phone hoping to get the coveted Cinderella Breakfast. SIL had been trying all week with no luck. So today we are going to Cinderella’s Castle for Breakfast - me, DH, SIL, BIL, niece. I had already bought ETickets and concert tickets for the teens. I knew they would be ok with skipping the princesses breakfast. We arrived about 9:40am for our 9:50am reservations. We waited in the lobby area and got in line for the Fairy Godmother. She was great and took time to talk to each child. We waited about 15 minutes before they called us to go upstairs. Breakfast was delicious and the princesses interaction was great. We left about 11am and BIL and niece rode Dumbo. I got fastpass for Pooh, and we rode Snow White ride. We walked straight into Mickey’s Philharmonic. This is a great 3-d show. I loved it. When we go out it was time for Pooh. After we left Pooh, it was getting crowded in Fantasyland. We decided to leave and go to MGM. We rode the boat to TTC and caught a bus to MGM. We headed straight to RRC for fastpass. Then we went to Commissary for lunch. After lunch we went to Star Tours for DH and BIL. We saw our teens in line, but I was nice and did not try to get their attention. Then we walked toward the New York Street. There is a new San Francisco street that they are working on. We found the “Singing in the Rain” umbrella. It was fastpass time for RRC for me and BIL. Then we walked back to the Little Mermaid show. DH decided to sit this one out. We ran into the teens again and they were going to the WWTBAM show. We found seats for the parade. Niece loved the parade, but did not like the “evil” characters. She would hide behind me when they went by. After the parade, we watched niece while SIL and BIL went to Sounds Dangerous. Niece was getting tired so we decided to leave. DH and I decided to go to Boardwalk and then to EPCOT. We showed BIL, SIL, and niece where the busses were and headed for the boat to Boardwalk. We had dinner at Big River Grill. We called DS#2 and reminded him ESPN was at Boardwalk. They decided to have dinner there. After dinner, we walked around and headed to EPCOT. It was about 8:40 and I really wanted to ride Mission:Space. There was no line at all and I was on and off in less than 15 minutes. DH was playing the games at the exit. He wasn’t sure about riding it on a full stomach. We skipped out the exit just as Illuminations started. We only waited for a bus about 10 minutes (much better than my time on day 4).

Day 8 - June 19
We cooked pancakes for breakfast so we could try DS#2’s maple syrup. After breakfast we told the teens to go to EPCOT for their last day, but to be back at the campsite by 4:00pm to leave. We cleaned up and packed up everything. It was VERY HOT. This must have been the hottest day ever! After we got everything packed and took nice long cold showers, we went to Wilderness Lodge to visit and cool off. We met back at the campsite a little after 4pm and left Disney. SIL, BIL, and niece left about 3pm. Since they had a nice big 5th wheel, he had made reservations at a KOA in Savannah. We stopped at the same Days Inn that we did going down. It was about 10pm when we arrived.

Day 9 - June 20
We got up about 7:30am and got ready for breakfast - Denny’s! We woke the teens and gave them the option of being ready in less than 30 minutes to eat at Denny’s or they could have an hour to get ready and they could get a snack before we hit the road. They opted for the hour. We were on the road shortly after 9am and home by 2:30pm.

Final Thoughts
We had a few bumps in the road, but all-in-all we had a lot of fun.
We used our Disney Reward Dollars for food inside the parks.
We saved one day on our passes for a future trip (March 2006 - 25th anniversary)
SIL and BIL loved their trip. They will come back.
Got to see grandson kiss Minnie and hug Mickey
Teens were independent, but I really believe they were well behaved (we were in contact via phones)

Enjoyed your trip thanks for posting...sorry you had the few bumps.

Thanks for the great reports. I also love Mission Space, but my wife is a chicken ( HA HA ) and nothing I say will get her on it.
