I agree and I am heartsick about this. Bush and Israel are doing whatever they can to leave a Holy war in Obama's hands.

Western Pa is like the Ray Bradbury story " All Summer in a Day"

On a serious note, the the Israel\Gaza Strip conflicts current and past sadden me. Civilians on both sides are killed and the killing does not stop until a cease fire is declared
However, do to the repetitive nature, cease fire, no cease fire, etc, I have almost resigned myself (still kinda holding on for longer lasting peace) to the idea that there will be violence there for the rest of my lifetime

Extremely sad - yet it's not front page topic on this forum - I hear none of my friends\family chatting about it - its like its invisible........

I think its because most people are in "vacation" mode - or have political news fatigue.......

Here in the NY area it is getting a lot of coverage. There are demonstrations all over the world..Many in NYC..If I was in NY this week I would be at one..

I am watching cable news and BBC news and seeing the children being rushed into ambulances. Knowing my taxes are providing the money and weapons for this, is more then I can bear.


There are 1.5 million people living in an area the size of Washington DC....
