EEEEK! We just discovered that we're adding another baby to our clan--bringing our total to 9 (7 kids + mom & dad)! Now our family alone will be over the occupancy limit for a 2-bedroom!

I maintain that if I have to be morning sick for another nine months of my life, the least DH can/should do is buy a gigantic add-on package of OKW and/or BWV points so we can always stay in a GV. Our current "home" is SSR, but we don't have enough points for a GV for every trip. But with an add-on at another resort, we could use banking & borrowing to always get a GV.

Don't you agree?

Congratulations on your Add-On!!

I really want to stay in a GV and to think you will get to stay in one all the time! :wizard:

Yes, it's the least he can do!

Congratulations :goodvibes

Congratulations!!!! :sunny:

but now you have me thinking... we have three now so that means to stay in a GV all the time we need to ummm "get busy"??

hmmm maybe I can get DH to agree to that when he gets back in 56 MORE DAYS!!!

Or maybe he'd be willing to do an add-on instead of having more.... always explore both angles.... :thumbsup2

And to the OP... 7 kids... wow... my moms family was pretty well known for having lots of kids, but I just couldn't imagine. I'm one of those that "thinks" they'd like to have kids (despite the "different demographics" thing) but I like to be able to send them home at night.... babysitting my nephews spoiled me that way I guess.

Oh, and another thought about getting your GV's... they book quickly at OKW, so you would need a rather hefty OKW add-on to cover your stays there. Not sure about SSR. Another option might be to put the older kids in a studio while you get a 2BR.... They could try and get your 2 room close together... Just thoughts.

Anyway congratz on #7 and good luck with the other add-on too!

:goodvibes :wizard:

Congratulations & Best Wishes for a safe pregnancy & healthy baby! party:

Sounds like the ideal "Push Present" to me! Wish we were members when my boys were born!

Congratulations, and good luck getting that add-on (the Disney one and the kid one) ;) :thumbsup2

I love a woman who's always thinking! Congrats on baby (and hopefully add-on) to be!
Man! I never heard of a "push present"! What a great idea, but too late for me, as the youngest is 9. Got a 40th birthday add-on, though :cool1: We do whatever it takes, right?

Wow, seven kids. Thats a total of 63 months of pregnancy which is a bit over 5 years! You deserve whatever DVC add on your heart desires! Good luck!

Wow, 7 kids! You will always have enough people for a Grand Gathering! Good luck with the baby and the add on. I agree you deserve anything your heart desires. :wizard:

I am with everyone here! Congrats on the addition! And, I think you very much deserve another add-on!!!

We have 6 kids. Won't be having 7 since the Suburban is full. I keep telling DH we need to add on so that when my 11 yo DD get to be 13 we can get a GV. I don't relish the thought of staying in a 2 bedroom with a hormonal 13 yo.

Congrats on number 7.

If your interested in conversing with other moms of large families, PM me and I can hook you up with a yahoo group I'm on.

Congrats! :cheer2:

Now you have me wondering how much your family spends on WDW tickets and food...

If I had that many kids I'd have to give up my addiction to WDW and settle on our local Six Flags instead! :rotfl:

An addiction is an addiction.... I can't seem to find a Disney anonomouse in my area, so I guess I'm forced to bring my 6 children to disney with me.

We buy AP's and go at least twice a year. Do you have to have less children than the OP or myself to enjoy or afford Disney?

6 Flags doesn't EVEN compare to Disney IMHO so I wouldn't waste my money going there.

:worship: dddddiiiiiid you say 7 children!!!! Wow! God bless you, well, I guess he already has! My sister in law's sister has 14. I personally have 4 & have a hard time keeping up with them. I keep saying "I'm too old for this".

Congratulations!! Best of luck for no morning sicknes & an easy delivery!
Regarding your DH buying you extra point, I think he should buy you enough so you can take that family vacation in a GV and a solo one. :thumbsup2

Do you have to have less children than the OP or myself to enjoy or afford Disney?

In my case yes, I would not be able to afford to take that many children to WDW - especially twice a year. It was not meant as an insult.

Lenshanem...I probably took it like an insult, and for that and my tone, I apologize. You would not believe how many comments, snide remarks and looks I receive based on the size of my family. So what was an innocent comment on your part, I probably read into it something that wasn't there.

I will say that so far we have been VERY fortunate with our tickets. My DH is also in the military, so 1 year we were able to get tickets at the Disney military salute rate, and than after the hurricanes of two years ago, we were able to get tickets at a great rate again during Disney's hurricane hero's promo. My DH is also a lineman and was in FLorida for 8 weeks helping to get Florida back on its feet.

W bought into DVC, because we knew Disney is where we wanted to vacation and getting 2 rooms even in a value was going to be expensive. We don't eat out of our villa too much, so we do save on food that way.

Again, I'm sorry I read more into your post than was there.
