We had cookies for breakfast as we had them from last night. We were off to Animal Kingdom!! Once we got through the gates we went and followed the crowds and fast passed EE and got in the queue. Ellie and Dad were being really brave as they didn’t go on it last year!! Dad didn’t like it but Ellie was the opposite she loved it thumbsup2: Once we got off we went straight over to KRR and we didn’t get wet then Mum said the queue is short and we can go on it again. Guess what we got drenched and we all blamed Mum. Us 3 girls went on EE using our fast passes and we had 1 extra so we left it on top of the sign. We got assigned our seats and we were at the front I was a chicken and didn’t want to ride at the front
Ellie said it was better as you could see the Epcot ball. Whilst they were riding EE I waited in the shop and Dad went and got fast passes for Safari!!
I was so proud of both DH and DD for riding EE, even though David said it was a once only thing
Ellie absolutely loved it, I knew she would, I couldn’t believe when Jess decided not to ride but I wasn’t going to force her!
We all met at the trek and went round, we first got to the Komodo dragons it was great looking at the animals except for the guy who put his arm out in the air to talk, so sad!!
On the trek we came across a CM who asked us if we’d heard the story of the komodo dragon, OMG I wish we’d said yes! He raised his arm into the air and in a monotonous voice told us the story, you could tell he was reciting it word for word. All the time I was trying to look interested, when he finished he put his arm back down, very strange
Us being monkeys!!!
We headed over to use our Safari FP’s and it was good as we saw all the animals but I thought it was just the same as usual. Once we helped save little red we went over to Dinoland as Ellie wanted to ride PW but the queue was 25 minutes so we thought it wasn’t worth it!
Although Jess said the safari was the same as always I still feel it’s a must do ride at AK!
Mum wanted to go and eat at Y&Y but there was no a/c seating so we went to Pizzafari. We ordered 1 pizza and 1 chicken ceaser salad to share. We had done everything we wanted to do and we decided to catch a bus to Epcot, what a surprise huh
We couldn’t believe we had done everything we wanted in such a short time, none of us were interested in seeing the shows this year, so it was off to Epcot!
Ellie sat on Mum’s lap on the bus and as she had a wet bottom from KRR made Mum’s shorts all wet
Yes I had these 2 strange round wet marks on the front of my shorts!!!!
We arrived at Epcot at 12.30pm and FP’d TT. Mum lost us as Ellie told us the wrong instructions. Once Mum found us outside Figment we went and rode it as it was cool!!!! We played on the video link things but the e-mail wouldn’t work so we gave up and we went and got a McFlurry. American McFlurries are twice the size of UK ones but we still managed to eat one each. We sat on the path/sidewalk in the shade as there were no benches and lots of ducks came to see us. Ellie told them that they had to get their own McFlurry which she renamed DuckFlurry
As I went to get TT FP’s Ellie and I had agreed that we’d go and ride Figment next, so instead of waiting for me Ellie told the others we’d agreed to meet at Figment
So after wandering around looking for them near TT for about 10 minutes I thought I’d go and look by Figment and there they were. David had begun to get worried as he knows how fast I normally am at getting the FP’s. We agreed to only split up if we had actually said to each other about it and ignore what the kids said
We then went and watched O’Canada, Dad felt sick with the moving screen and had to shut his eyes! We went and looked around the shops in Canada and the UK, we answered the UK quiz questions and got them all right
We saw Mary Poppins and she was funny, telling us to keep our backs straight and chins up for the photo. We then decided that it had got far too hot and went back to POR, we found a family to give our TT FP’s to, they were really grateful
Yes we gave away our TT FP’s
It really had become to hot and we desperately needed a swim!
We were back by 2.40pm, our pool was shut so we walked to the main pool which was heaving so we kept walking and ended up at an AB pool. It was full of just English people which was strange! We swam for about an hour before getting showered for our evening meal at Kona.
We took the bus to MK then got the monorail to the Poly. Mum and I had the Prime rib, Dad had the scallops and Ellie had the noodles. We all thought our meals were delicious. The server was really nice. As always we couldn’t manage dessert so Mum and Dad shared 1 cheesecake and got 1 to go, Ellie had the kona kone and I just had the cotton candy
Ellie with her smoothie and Cotton candy, we call it candy floss!
The steak at Kona was just delicious, so much nicer than LeCellier, the dessert was gorgeous too, a very nice meal!
We then did some pin trading before getting back on the monorail. A bus for POFQ was there so we jumped on that then caught the boat to POR. We then went to the food court to fill our mugs when Mum was attacked by a lady. It turned out she was a UK DISer who recognised her from a photo, her name was Scojos (Tracy) Her DD was so sweet and didn’t stop talking.
It was so funny, I’d never seen a photo of Scojos and when she ran up to me wanting a hug I was a bit taken back. She and her family were lovely though and it was nice to meet them
When we got back to the room there was a message from Mo (PuggyMom) making sure we were OK as she was worried about us in the hurricane
Mo’s accent was so sweet and how lovely that she was concerned enough to call
We were in bed by 9pm and Mum and Dad watched the weather channel!
Oh at some point in the last 2 days we went to charge the camera battery only to discover that I had packed the European plug converter rather than the US one, how clever was I?
Anyway David went off to the shop and bought the correct one only to find that our charger had broken
So we had hardly any battery left for the last 10 days, good job we had prepaid for our photopass
