I pretty sure its a gretsch...not 100% sure though. They did use Epiphone acoustics though, which I would really love to have right about now!

I totally want a Gretsch BST 5000 though. Too bad they stopped making them back in the 80's

the cheapest i can find for a hofner violin bass is £499, which is about $900ish

if you want the case as well, its £1,599.99

thats about $2,700.00.

If they had inlays and actual chrome pick up cover, it wouldnt be THAT bad. I really like the head stock though.
