Beth I didnt eat lunch at school today with ds. I sat while he ate his lunch. Im not that adventurous yet ROFL. My stomach is a little cranked out at being fed McDees but not enough to require meds for it. The show was AWESOME. I wish I could have seen it in person. Dh did a GREAT job of taping it though. They had my son by himself because the other student that plays the viola didn't wear the required outfit today. Ds just stood right out and shined. He looked so happy and so at ease up there!! I also looked in ds's backpack and there is a note in there that he is recieving an award on the 25th for making gold honor roll. I will be at that with bells on!!! I am so proud of that little boy. He is managing to over come his ADHD and shine!!

Jennifer Im so glad you finally got your TV. My dh works for a company that makes appts like that. You would be surprised at how many times he takes the heat when someone finds out who he works for. Dh doesnt even do that type of work as he is an inspector but he takes a lot of heat when the guys dont show or show late. We even got taken to task by a family member at our last family function!! Makes dh so mad that these guys dont cut the mustard and he complains about it to the superiors. What gets the most done is when the customer complains though. I would call them and tell them what happened today.

Beth, Yep I did know that the den was going to be in the new house. I was making plans to dash in and claim it before ya'll could get there, buuuut if you Carol and Marilyn already laid claim to it, that's cool... I think instead I'll take that little hidden room under the stairs...that'll make a perfect little romantic hideaway.

OK, before I even start to get caught up on you mothy YaYa's tonite, I am going to post a thank you and a brag/

First, the thank you.

Nancy, what a sweet note you sent, and the LIME GREEN button with DIS in the middle and "newmousecateer" along the bottom is just soooo cool. DH is definately (like your DH Bonnie) really beginning to think I have friends (he knows I already found my "sister) on the DIS. He thought is was cool too. So thank you for your special gift. If you don't mind, I am going to send it to Beth to wear at DIScon, and then she can send it back to me. (OK sis?) I knew you YaYa's were very special. Love you guys.

Now the brag part. DIL brought two of her crew with her today, and washed all of the ceilings and walls on the first floor (my house is 2225 sq. ft., so 1112 sq ft today). It looks great! But, not only that! They washed the two ceiling fans down here, the inside and outside of my china cabinet, washed the large stand up and wall bakers racks, polished all of my tables, end tables, comupter desk (which is huge - double decker with filing cabinet), top of refrig, computer keyboard, AND put all of the furniture back in place! Whew! Yes, all three are Polish, she owns her own cleaning business, and the darling mite weighs about 100 lbs. soaking wet!

If DS ever divorces her (which I do not think there is a chance in the world), I will disown him! (she is also a loving wife and mother not only to her daughter -the apple of my eye - but DS's son, who is 15, and puts his arms around her and tells her how much he loves her).

Thanks for listening YaYa's. Sorry this was soooo long, but I wanted to share with my friends.

Hopefully I will find time to get back to the mansion tonite.

I got a very special package from a very special person this week. Inside it was the most beautiful, magnificent angel ornament!!!!! She is too pretty to put away after christmas so she will have a special place on my desk and will be my guardian angel!!! Thank you Elaine SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

Kim, dear! You don't have to settle for that cupboard under the stairs! The new place is HUMONGOUS!! I saw the floor plans!! I'm not sure if it's a huge beach house or remodeled barn, but it's got SPACE!!!! There are so many extra rooms we can use for dens, rec rooms, studies, libraries, whatever, that we'll probably get lost trying to find the kitchen!! So, if you want a den, pick one out! Ours is more of a combination den/dance hall/lounge thing. Since it sounds like you will need one of the larger ones so you can re-install the ice rink, I'll send the bearskin rug man over to take measurements for you. Then you and fuzz face can have your own fur lined "ice palace"!!

I want to say....wow....sounds like lots of us had very nice days!!!

Karen, I am actually pretty patient when it comes to waiting for delievery people. I understand they can run behind and what not. (around here, getting lost happens regularly) What i was really annoyed by is that he didn't even acknowledge that he showed up 50 min. late after I had waited during thier 2 hour window. I left a note at 12:50 saying I'd be back at 1:15 (picking up Emma) he showed up 5 min later so I wonder if he showed up while I was gone first. A simple, sorry I'm late would have been all that was called for. Oh well.

Marilyn, what a great DIL!!! You know, it has been my experience that step families can be ther very BEST thing. I have a step mom that is more than a mom to me....she is everything really. She helped me through some really terrible times with my own mother. You are very luck DS found her!!!

Nice to hear there are ornaments on the move!
Mine will go out next week. Of course I got the toughest of the bunch!!!!
