Sorry Nutsy, I am definately out of the loop. I haven't been here since Sunday night.
Kim, I am sure that if you told me anything that no one would mind. NOT!!!!
I have been running crazy for a few days. Had my first parent/team conference today. I don't have the grades from the teacher that I am filling in for so I couldn't really tell the parent much except that her son has turned in everything for the past two weeks and has a 100 average so far. Of course tomorrow I am giving my first graded worksheet (quiz) on Sentence fragments/run on sentences. This is what I have been giving instruction for since I have been there. They are also working on group projects and a lot of writing, so I need some concrete grades (right and wrong answers) to cover my butt. Just hate grading someone's writing. Too subjective.
Allison did a report on Isreal in the 7th grade. It was one of those group projects that had the kids spending 7 weeks researching, writing, and preparing an information booth complete with authentic food for sampling. She actually wanted me to make hummus and not buy it in the store. Give me a break!!!! Warning, Kim do not, I repeat do not try to do any cooking. If hamburgers are rough don't try anything else. Go to the store and buy it.
