I haven't sent an ornament cause I'm not in it:)

We don't do things in such a big way over here;)

So, fill me in on what's been happening around the place in my absence please someone:)

I want all the gos ok?:D

Ack!!! I was a victim of last postitis again. I hate that!!

Auriel, silly goose... go back a few pages and read...best way to get updated on all that's been going on. ;)

Yeah I know that silly goose Kim, but that takes too long & I don't have loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg;)

Sorry Nutsy, I am definately out of the loop. I haven't been here since Sunday night.

Kim, I am sure that if you told me anything that no one would mind. NOT!!!!

I have been running crazy for a few days. Had my first parent/team conference today. I don't have the grades from the teacher that I am filling in for so I couldn't really tell the parent much except that her son has turned in everything for the past two weeks and has a 100 average so far. Of course tomorrow I am giving my first graded worksheet (quiz) on Sentence fragments/run on sentences. This is what I have been giving instruction for since I have been there. They are also working on group projects and a lot of writing, so I need some concrete grades (right and wrong answers) to cover my butt. Just hate grading someone's writing. Too subjective.

Allison did a report on Isreal in the 7th grade. It was one of those group projects that had the kids spending 7 weeks researching, writing, and preparing an information booth complete with authentic food for sampling. She actually wanted me to make hummus and not buy it in the store. Give me a break!!!! Warning, Kim do not, I repeat do not try to do any cooking. If hamburgers are rough don't try anything else. Go to the store and buy it.

Bfeller...I just joined the loop, so it's taking me a while to fit in..................

Kim hangs around all the time tho..................I just wanted to say Hi to all in the house today & I hope you're all having loads of fun & not doing anything I wouldn't do;)

Hummus! I've made that!! Well... I opened the box and added the warm water. :o

 I finally made it.
Hello....anyone still here?

DH did make it home okay.....NO water on road at all :(
Stupid report.........of course he couldn't see what the flood plain looked like.

But when he called to say he was headed home and I told him there was a flood watch he said "oh good"
He thinks it's an adventure to drive over the flooded road (even when it has been closed!....and yes he has done it).

Okay.....enough of that......

Hi ya Nancy:wave:

How's it going over there today?? It's fine & dry over here, but don't die of shock..........we actually got a good drop of rain last weekend. The most we've had in months & months..but still not enough to break this awful drought:(

Hi Nutsy......all's well here now.
Still raining. We didn't have much for months and months either. But now it hasn't stopped much since Saturday.
The flooding is because it has also warmed up and the snowfall from earlier that is in the mountains is melting and filling the rivers.
It happens every couple of years and always seems to be in mid November.

Cool!! Sounds like fun:)

Hey, our flim last night was good, very interesting.

If only we could afford to go away in May for 3 weeks we would be off to Canada & Alaska's inside passage & tack on Yosemite & hopefully Yellowstone at the end.

DARN!!!:(

Hi Nancy, how are you doing?

Unfortunately, I have to run because 5:30 comes way too fast. Hopefully, I can get here tomorrow night before everyone goes to bed. Haven't seen Jennifer tonight, so she must up in our room. Maybe I will jump on her bed and then quickly run to mine and act like I am asleep. That should keep her on her toes.

Goodnight Nancy, Nutsy and Kim.

By the way Kim, I am very impressed that you know how to warm water. I am sure you use the microwave.

We were hoping to do Canada & the Inside Passage & the two parks next Christmas, but we found out the cruises don't run in Winter, so that puts an end to that idea.

What we are trying to do is to work it in with school holidays for the boys & Christmas is the only time they get more than 2 weeks off & the Canada, Inside Passage alone is 3 weeks:(

Back to the drawing board for us I think:(

Goodnight.................sleep tight:)

Hi Betty  Goodnight Betty!
Give a good jump on the bed for me.

Nutsy, you just went on a 3 weeker in Sept. Can't you do that again?

Nancy, to see all we'd like to see without coming over again & having that big airfare expense it would take us about a month. Plus with the boys schooling, it would have to be next year we went (before Christmas) as they would have to miss some school, as the following year 14yr DS is in the crucial stages of his schooling & couldn't afford to miss a week or so of school.

Might have to put this on hold till they've both finished school & take another look at it then.

I'm sure something will work out sometime. Planning is fun too.

But waiting until schooling is done....they might not want to go with you ;)

I'm planning a trip for DS to go to WDW in March :teeth:
Kind of different planning for someone else....but still fun.

By the way Kim, I am very impressed that you know how to warm water. I am sure you use the microwave.
Yep. :teeth: I'm pretty amazing that way. :p I have quite a list of hidden talents. Water heating, Sharpie art, oyster stealing, M&M stealing, thread hijaking, table dancing, cabana boy Monopoly, star gazing, duct taping, flashy thingying.... ummm... well actually I guess the list isn't all that long after all. Guess I better work on that. :(

'Night Betty! Have a great day tomorrow. Goodnight to Nancy and Nutsy too. It's another 5:45 day for me tomorrow.

Kim decides that the beach may not have been such a great idea, what with Bonnie and her new hobby and all. Instead Kim heads to her little hideaway under the stairs. While shutting the door, Kim can't help but wonder who Bonnie's next victim will be?

Yeah, they want to go to Canada, but not fussed on the parks & Alaksa is ok with them too.

But like you say in 3-4 yrs time their ideas may be totally different. Actually it would work out way cheaper if it were just the two of us:)
