Hello Poly-October babes!!!!

Sorry I have been MIA this week, I had these weird symptoms early in the week and ended up going to the urgent care on Wednesday. The doctor was worried about me so he sent me to the hospital for a CT scan of my lungs and brain, EKG, blood work, etc, and I ended up having an ALLERGIC reaction to the dye they injected into me! I thought I was going to die!!!!! Four nurses swarmed me with machines and my whole body turned bright red and itchy, my eyes turned red, my tongue swelled up, it was scary!!! After they injected me with all these meds to combat the allergy it comepletely wiped me out and I fell asleep on the gurney. Next thing I know they are waking me up for a MRI of my brain because they thought the CT scan looked like swelling on my brain. But the MRI came back NORMAL, so hooray!!!! Thankfully I am fine now. All tests came back normal, all blood work normal, I got clean bill of health. Crazy as it seems I was laying in the hospital thinking GOD I PRAY I DON'T MISS OUR DISNEY VACATION!!!!!!!!! My priorities are obviously messed up.

Anyway! I am fine now, healthy and celebrating our 45 day mark!!!!!!!! Paid off in full today!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to meet you all!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited I might squeeze you all to death!!!!!!!

Yikes! Glad that everything came back good! I think your priorities are just fine now that you know you are!

DD is already making fun of me that I am going to put us all in a bubble soon to fend off potential illness. I am a self proclaimed germophobe. I am the Mom that squeezes antibac gel in everyone's hand as we exits ride.

Yikes! I too have recently had a CT scan, but fortunately no allergic reaction to the dye, only the "just peed your pants" feeling you get when then inject it! Happy to hear you're ok and all your tests turned out fine!

Love the peed in pants feeling! NOT! Been there, done that myself!

Thanks! Working on lots of Disney related plans tonight. DD plays hockey on Friday nights so DD and I can do our planning! I think we will watched Tangled too

I can't believe how fast the time is going!

I think this is the hardest part!!! Everything is booked and paid for, there really isn't anything else to do for the next 6 weeks except COUNT THE DAYS!!!!!!! It's too early to pack or make my countdown board for the kids, so I just have to listen to my WDW music over and over and TRY to be patient!!!!!!

Speaking of WDW music, I took all my music and put it into one playlist (about 200 songs) and now I play it on shuffle! It seems sort of odd at first, because you'll get like a track from the middle of Wishes, or the middle of the Boo to You Parade, and then it cuts off and goes to another song But I sort of like it that way. Maybe I'm crazy??? I need more music to add to my collection this trip... here are the ones I have so far:

Illuminations, Tapestry of Dreams
4 Parks, 1 World
Disney Classics (i only have volumes 1 and 2)
Disney Superstar Hits
Magic Kingdom Event Music (Boo to You, Hallowishes, Castle shows, etc)

I would like to buy Fantasmic this trip. What other ones do you guys have??? I need recommendations!!

I made the kids' countdown calendar on the weekend. It goes on the fridge. DD8 has a little Halloween Stitch and DD6 has Aurora dressed in costume that are stuck to little magnets. Each day they move their character along the calendar. They are so excited ... 40 days to go!

It was our MNSSHP tickets! It made my whole day!

TigrLvsPooh... I agree with you that the waiting is hard. This is the lull in planning time. But for some reason this trip I am not wishing to hurry up and get here Not sure why other than maybe because if time flies and trip time is here, it will also mean time to come home.

So basically I am pathetic because planning and waiting for my trip is more appealing than the total Post Poly Depression that I am sure I will fall DEEP into on 10/30/11

I am hoping that there will be an awesome BB offer and I will catch DH at a weak moment and we will book some kind of return trip Maybe I will juice him up with a Lapu Lapu first

I too am hoping for a great BB. DH has decided that we aren't going back until February 2013 He wants to start going in February to help him get through our long hard winter. Unfortunately he thinks February 2012 is too soon for a return trip. I'm hoping that maybe I can convince him to go for a quick trip this February for my 45th birthday (if we can get a good deal). Of course I have already told him if he can't get the time off for this trip & I end up going without him that I AM booking the BB for February. It's a done deal!!

That smiley is running about as fast as I could right now!! I can't remember the last time I went for a run - it's been all me & Finn walk, walk, walking! He keeps me going at a good pace though!

Unfortunately I think any BB would not involve the kids. I don't want to pull them out of school for more than the four days we are this fall, especially because DD6 will miss another four days or so for dr/audiology appointments (this is an on going battle in our house right now of course because DD19 is pushing for the trip that she isn't getting this fall ... ) If there is any February trip I think it will be just me & DH.

I haven't told our girls to be expecting any Mickey mail - it's better for all of our sanity that way!!

Unforunately my excitement is dampened by the fact that DH still does not have his vacation approved.

My mailbox had Mickey mail but it was just DVC trying to get me to come to their DVC store in a mall about 45 minutes from here and listen to their spiel and for our time we will get a $50 gift card. I want to do it but DH says 60-90 minutes is not worth it plus the drive. The mall, Woodfield Mall is big, crowded and we would probably spend the $50 and then some shopping

I am sorry this is dragging on with DH I hope there is a resolution soon

$50 gift card?! Humph! We got DVC Mickey Mail last week offering us only a $25 gift card!! Maybe because there is no DVC store any where near here and it was just for a phone sales pitch, but still ... no fair!

Thank you. Yes, the DH work saga is really wearing on me - completely taking the excitement out of this trip.

Me too! I just went to one in the same mall, and really it was neat. My guide had no pressure what so ever and was sweet as pie. I had been scared at first since I've been to several high pressure time share presentations, but this didn't come off that way at all. Unfortunately he couldn't spill the beans about the GF DVC.. but soon enough.

If you do decide to do it, the best way to avoid the rest of the mall is to come in through Nordstroms. The top floor dumps you out right by DVC. The Disney store is actually clear on the other side of the mall so if you are in and out, not a big deal!

There are some pretty cool restaurants out this way too in the event you guys wanna go to dinner.

Sending me through Nordstrom's would be a huge mistake. I love that store Thanks for the tip. Did you go by yourself because I read the fine print and it said that if you are married both have to attend? I figured I would just go by myself one day. DH refuses to go to Woodfield on a weekend. Up until recently my Dad lived close to the mall so we went one weekend and I could not believe how crazy busy it was. DH says he will never go back. I think the last time I was in the mall was in the late 80's early 90's before that day!

Thanks! This will be our third Poly trip, so I think we would definitely stay there again. We love the theming & DH loves his TPV to sit & watch the fireworks at night.

Steal away! No, we don't know when to expect to find out, which is adding to the stress. Hopefully within a week we should know, but that is more because DH is getting frustrated & angry and is now chasing his superior for an answer.
