....I bought 165 pts at the BCV as I watched 20 inches pile up.

Of course my only excuse for the 100 point add-on in September was the great time we had there in August! ;)

LOL!
12/5/02 I sat at Newark airport watching the snow fall..and fall..and fall--5 hours delayed waiting in the terminal, 3 hours sitting on the plane waiting for take off.
It was me and my mom-her first plane ride ever, but she was calm as could be. Once we knew the plane and the crew were there and that we would be taking off we were fine, and arrived at BCV at 3 am. LOL
My mom called me yesterday as the snow was falling to reminisce.:D
Between last year's snow storm and this year's stress with Isabel, I am glad we're driving next Octiber!

We had a similar experience on 12/25/02. I was scheduled to fly to WDW at about 11AM, the rest of the family had a later flight (6PM) and we were to meet up at BWV for a late Christmas dinner. We knew a storm was on its way, but as of 8AM there wasn't a flake on the ground. So I shower and get ready, then decide to call my sister - she tells me to look outside - it's coming down at about 3 inches and hour! So I head to the airport with the rest of the family shortly behind hoping to get out on an earlier flight. Well, they cancelled most everything so at about 5PM we resigned to not getting out and called for the courtesy van from the local Holiday Inn. Well, the van got stuck in the 24+ inches that were now on the ground and never showed up. Then about 7PM we heard that they had managed to clear the runway and a single plane was landing. Now here came the teamwork - my niece went to the counter to get us a seat should the plane actually land and then leave again, my nephew called a friend who was able to find up a connecting flight and by dumb luck we actually made it out! Of course we didn't get to WDW until about 2AM (plus our luggage was MIA) but we made it. Christmas dinner comprised cookies and crackers from the airport vending machine, but it all didn't matter once we made it out!!!

So with our first snow storm of the year just yesterday (a measly 5+ inches) - and eight days to go before we leave for WDW this year we can only hope NOT to repeat last year's experience.
