The last character you'd expect...

... to see in a park at all -much less a parade- Horace Horsecollar, is in this year's MNSSHP "Mickey's Boo-to-You Parade"
He looks very cool. Hopefully he will be joined by Clarabelle Cow, but she was not with him tonight.

Horace is making an appearance???? Is he available for meets and greets, or just the Halloween parade?? Love to see Clarabelle too, as they are such classic characters!

That's nifty! We'll be sure to keep an eye out for Horace when we go down for MNSSHP.

I have to admit, I don't know much about these two other than what I've seen on the recent House of Mouse cartoon show. Clarabelle's hilarious in that though, so she's an instant fave. Hopefully she'll eventually join Horace in the parade!

Clarabelle also had a very impressive role in the recent Three Muskateers movie. I was thrilled to see that Disney used her in such a prominent way, and as Goofy's love interest, too! Horace is probably quite jealous!

Clarabelle also gets a lot of play on House of Mouse. My DD4 would know who she is.

Just to follow up, Clarabelle and Horace are square-dance partners in the final segment of the parade. Their costumes seem to be based on what they wore in 'The Band Concert,' which, incidentally, was the first Mickey Mouse cartoon in color. I wish I had a digital camera, because they look wonderful.

Oh, and I'm going to Disneyland for a vacation next October.

and was so surprised to see a picture of the character Marsupialami. I am trying to pick a few good pics to send to DL for the 50th Celebration. Not that he is classic like HH or CC, but it was neat to see such an obscure character again.
