Hello and thanks for stopping by :goodvibes Truth be told, I actually went back and forth for several weeks on whether or not to do a dining report for this trip. As you can see by the title, we won't be spending our entire trip at WDW and so I wasn't sure if enough people would be interested. But, I enjoyed writing my last dining report just as much as my trip report so I figured ... eh, why not :thumbsup2

My family and I will be heading to the World in less than two months and we are already talking about all the delicious food we will be consuming. Ok, who am I kidding, we were talking about the food when we planned this trip a year ago :rotfl:

So, who are we?

That's the star of this whole shindig, our Son, James. He will turn 16 months on this trip

Likes: depends on the day  but always loves bananas and french toast
Dislikes: again, depends on the day, but always hates peas and peaches

Also joining us on this trip are my parents, Ken and Mary, who I cannot locate a recent picture of :confused3

To be honest I can't tell you their definitive likes for sure, but I can tell you they both hate seafood  They haven't been to Disney in so long (1998) that they can't remember any standout favorites

Needless to say, there will be lots of food porn to share with 4 adults and 1 toddler on this adventure :thumbsup2

So, just where will that food be enjoyed at ...

As usual, we will arrive at Disney in the late afternoon so we don't have any definitive plans for lunch. I'm sure the little one will need a nap, so I'm guessing we will grab something to take to the room from Quick Service

We never stopped by here when we stayed at AKL-Kidani so I have no idea what we might enjoy for lunch. But, there are two things I know for sure...

First, I will definitely be snatching me up some of these bad boys

mara2.jpg

I didn't have a clue what zebra domes were when we stayed at AKL previously, and now I feel like I've committed a cardinal sin by not partaking in them :rotfl:

Second, we want to keep lunch on the light side because we will be enjoying a feast of infinite proportions for dinner ...

When deciding on meal locations while planning this trip my parents told us to tell them the best places and then we would all choose together. So, one evening when they were here visiting we went through the menus I had printed of the locations Candi and I had chosen. Tonight's dinner was the only place that got a vote from all four of us :thumbsup2

So, our first dinner at WDW will be at none other than

Candi and I went here for the first time in 2010 and we fell in love! I know that it is both a coveted restaurant and one that gets mixed reviews and, to be honest, I can see why. While we loved the food, the service and wait time left much to be desired. However, that is not going to stop of us from returning. I am already drooling just thinking about the food.

I'm pretty sure Candi is already dreaming of the wontons we loved so much previously

And, while I know it is a long shot, I am really hoping that we will be lucky enough to score a seat by a window with a castle view as I know this would be such a magical start to our trip. But, I know everyone else is hoping for the same thing so no stress if it doesn't happen :thumbsup2

Thursday morning we will wake up bright and early to catch a bus to the MK because we have a (before park opening) reservation at

This is actually a brand new restaurant for everyone and only Candi and I know about it right now. It is a mother's day gift for my Mom who (not so secretly) is hoping for a character meal on this trip. I am going to make her a fun little invitation to eat with Pooh and the Gang and give it to her the night before :thumbsup2

Candi and I have always had the tradition in the past to have our first breakfast of the trip at CRT. But, we just can't afford to pay for all of us to eat there :sad2: And, truth be told, I'm a little disappointed that they've changed the menu. We are big fans of the stuffed french toast and the cheesy potato casserole - both of which look like they are no longer there :scared1:

As much as I know she would have loved to eat in the castle, I think my Mom will really enjoy Crystal Palace. The decor seems really up her alley and Pooh is a favorite of hers.

I'm also starting to get really excited about it too as I have a feeling James will be (WAY) more excited over these characters than the Princesses

One thing I know for sure is Pooh's Stuffed French Toast will definitely be finding its way to my plate
