Hi all,
I haven't updated on the formerly stray cat I took in, Shenzi and 4 of the kittens that we kept. I figured some of you followed the 'saga' and may be interested in seeing their progress. They are now 6 months old.
(Just a note, we changed the kittens "Pooh" names, as they just didn't quite fit as their personalities started to emerge)
Mama- Shenzi: She is very loving and gentle with people- and her kittens. But, she sticks with her girl kittens mostly.
Figaro (formerly Rabbit):He is my baby. Very emotionally needy with me. He will do everything in his power to get as close to my face as possible. He tries to sleep on my neck at night, but I usually knock him away. By morning, my DH tells me that Figgie has won that battle. By the time I wake up, he is causing trouble with Jack...actually, that is usually what wakes me up.
Fluffy (formerly Piglet): She is very, very shy and has sensory issues (does not like petted on her back but loves belly rubs, it's really weird) She is beautiful and smart, but isn't very trusting. I am the only one she will actually approach. Largest of all of the kittens, I think she has maincoon or some other larger longhaired domestic blood in her.
Jack (formerly Eeyore): He is the acrobat. He can get anywhere (high or low) and walk on a string, he enjoys looking for places no one else has the guts to explore. This can be a problem. (like when he chases his tail while precariously balancing on the handrail above the steps...)
Freckles (formerly Owl): This is the most gentle, loving cat I have ever been around. She steps cautiously/quietly and is very submissive with people and animals. She has an obsession with thumb tacks and constantly removes them from my corkboard and slinks away, hiding it in her mouth like she found a treasure....then chases them all over the house. It is hilarious.

, she reminds me so much of my Tabitha.
Seems like they have the same personality too, as Tabitha is soooo sweet and loving. Hilarious about the thumbtacks!!
I have to say I will miss their Pooh names.

Oh how I miss him!
We still have her sister Schmoo and she has reluctantly adjusted to having the young ones around....
