The KITTENS ~ **latest PICS pg 19 (9/11)**

***Another update with more pictures***

Last night I noticed that Piglet is having issues with her eye, one is sort of goopy and stuck shut. I read that that can be an eye infection and/or also a possible upper respiratory infection...so I will call the vet tommorow for advice. Hopefully it can be cleared up quickly with medicine. She is acting fine, but it looks so sad! Poor little girl! The others are fine though and show no signs of anything similar, so far. (knock on wood)

Some pics of her:

They are absolutely adorable! I'm glad to hear and see that they are doing so well! I'm kinda partial to Kanga :flower:

They are so cute.
Too bad my little Sophie (the little one in my sig) is afraid of kittens.

Wow they really are growing fast! That last pic of Roo is really cute!

My 5yo just came in and saw the pictures and pointed at Tigger and asked if it was Tigger (he was thinking our Tigger kitty). lol Rabbit is adorable. Well, they all are of course! I can't believe how they've grown.

Piglet will more than likely just need some eye meds. I seem to remember going through that with kitties at some point. I assume the the mom and kitties have checked out ok at the vet (Feline Leuk, etc).

OMG!! SO cute!

In college, I took a cat in that went on to have kittens a few weeks later. One of the kittens ended up with an eye infection. The vet will give you ointment or something for it, probably. But tonight, maybe you could do some warm compresses. That should help give the little cutie-pie some relief.

They are all so precious!! I love kittens! :lovestruc

They are all so adorable!! I hate to pick favorites, but I love Tigger.

Aww. Those are some very cute kittens. I love the orange ones. I have one myself that used to be a barn cat. If I didnt already have a 4 ring circus of pets I'd gladly take one off of your hands. :paw:

I'm glad to hear they are doing well, except the kitty with the eye problem. Hopefully its not what my kitty has, he has cat herpes. It causes his eyes to not dialate properly and they are very runny and so he doesn't always open them.

They are just precious. Oh how I adore Rabbit. I'm glad to hear you want to keep him. The suggestions other posters have made regarding introduction to the other family pets are good. I do hope little Piglet gets her eye condition cleared up. Poor little girl. She is a little sweetheart. Oh they all are! :)

Do you mean, remove them from the room, let the other pets in for a while and then bring them back in after getting the other pets back out of the room? And to do this on a regular basis for a while before actually introducing them face to face? (just trying to clarify)
::yes:: I agree, that's the best way to go about introducing them. But definitely wait until the kittens are MUCH older. :) I think you were planning on that, but just making sure. :)

And, yes, one of my babies had that same problem with her eye. She needed eyedrops, eye goop, and a warm wet rag to get the eye open, and some antibiotics by mouth. She was about Piglet's age, too.

LOVE those babies, though I can't decide between Owl, Rabbit, and Roo

I agree with everyone - they sure grew a lot last time I saw them. They're all so cute! I hope little Piglet's eye gets better. :)

Hi all,

I talked to my vet and he suggested applying Terramycin ointment to Piglets eyes until the appointment I have friday morning (for all of them). He wants me to come in sooner (with just her) if I notice any change in her demeanor. But, he feels that I should try that first.

So, hopefully that works. She is behaving normally...perky and playful, nursing as usual and I haven't noticed any sneezing or anything. It just looks sort of funny, LOL. I have been using sterile gauze dipped in warm water to gently moisten it.

Hopefully it clears up soon!

Hi all,

The kittens are 4 weeks old...I can hardly believe how much they have grown!

They are all doing well...learning to use the potty and a few have eaten some dry kitten food from Shenzi's feeder. I tried to ge them to eat some canned food, but they think it is weird...they will get it eventually, I am sure. Here are the latest pics that I took this evening...(Pooh and Eeyore were sleeping, so I will try to get them tommorow)
