Last week on the Travel Channel, they went to the Beach Club. The host stopped in Beaches and Cream one day and ordered the "Kitchen Sink". It was a HUGE ice cream sundae in a bowl that looks like a sink.

DH and I were wondering if anyone had ordered this. How much did it cost? It must be very expensive!

How many people does it take to eat one of those?

westjones,

When we were there in August we ordered the kitchen sink and it only took 4 of us about 30 minutes to eat the whole thing. It was really pretty good. I was worried I wouldn't like it because I don't like mint or coffee ice cream but you hardly notice with the candy bars and cake and brownies and the whole can of whipped cream.

If memory serves I believe it was around $20. A great deal when you consider that the regular sundaes thera ll seem to run about 6-8 dollars each.

Check out this page for pics of us with the Kitchen Sink!

I think its 22.95 now. There was 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids and we couldn't eat it all.

I can't wait to try this THING in Dec.! It is free (almost) with the Q&C vouchers from Connections. Check out mousesavers.com for more info on connections.

We ordered it twice. We generally do it to see the look on the faces of those that don't know about it. You should have seen the look on the 2 extra teens with us last time, it was priceless.

We used the "connections" coupons and got one for our four kids. They could only eat about 2/3 of the thing. It was lots of fun watching everyone watching them.

We got it last time with the Q&C voucher. The hubby about ate the whole thing by himself (he didn't eat dinner lol). It was fun how they dim the lights and show it to everyone in the restaurant. Then they talk about the "piggies" who are going to eat it. They use a whole bottle of whipped cream....we watched a manager make one, mess it up and throw the entire thing away.......

My DD9 can not wait to get the kitchen sink. She thought she would be able to eat it by herself, until she saw a picture of it with a little boy sitting in front of it.

Well as long as we are all here (and hungry after those delicious photos), I can't seem to find any PS info on Beaches n Cream. I assume it is walk-in and take your chances? What would be the least busy time to go for a sit down meal at Beaches? We went once before for an icecream cone and it was jam packed. You could barely get in the door.
Thanks!

Try to get there before 5:00pm to avoid a crowd.

Beaches & Cream does not accept PS. I've been a couple of times and had no trouble getting a table before 3pm. It does get busy in the evenings. Note there is a walkup counter for ice cream only.

Thanks for the replies. I see our mistake was going later in the evening. We barely made it up to the counter for icecream. Now we will know to go before 5 pm!
