The Kid's table

This thread is great! We were just talking about this today! For us it all depends on who there and what holiday it is! For example today it was at my Uncle George's house. Uncle, his wife, Uncle, his wife, Mom, Dad and oldest cousin and his girlfriend were at the adult table. Myself (29), DH(36), DSis(24) and youngest cousin (21) were at the kids table in the kitchen.

For Christmas at my mom's house I don't know what will happen since her dining table holds 8, and her kitchen tables holds 4. We will have mom and her siblings and spouses (total 6), oldest cousin and his girlfriend, cousin and her DH and daughter, myself and DH, Dsis and her boyfriend, and three cousins. So I have a feeling there might be two kids tables! I think DH and I will end up at one again!

For Easter not everyone makes it so usually we can all fit at one big table in my other uncles dining room! (14 or so).

We joked that someone needs to die for us to move up!

<Sigh> I'm 30 someodd years old and have kids but I still sit at the kids table!! LOL

.

LOL---I got to move off the kids table when I had a kid! My brother who is older than I am but has no kids is still at the kids table LOL---I think you have to have a kid in order to leave the kids table in my family!!

I was at the kids table forever since I was the youngest, I really hated it when I was 13.

Now as an adult, I would rather be at the kids table than the drama of the adults table!;)

Last year, DH and I sat at the kids' table. We were 28! I'm the youngest sibling in my family of 8 kids. There are over 40 people at my family Thanksgiving (we're celebrating on Saturday.) and while we are all in one room, we have lots of different tables. DH and I sat with our older nieces and nephews (in their teens). Last Easter, Dh and I and our 22 year old niece sat with our 16 year old nephew in the living room while my mom, 2 sisters and 2 brother in laws sat at the kitchen table.

Until we have kids of our own, I think we're condemned to the kids' table.

Lol. Oh yeah...we had a kids table. I only have one cousin older than I am and he's 6 years older than I am. So by the time I remember even being at a kids table, he was already at the adult table. My other cousins start at 2 years younger than me and just go down from there. I HATED the kids table. My cousins are AMAZING now but they were So Gross when they were little :scared: and I'd Beg my mom to let me sit at the adult table. I think she finally let me "graduate" when I was 10 or so.

my 41 Yr old cousin and I ( 36) still sit at the kids table.
Between us we have 3 little boy ages 5-8 . We figure someone needs to referee and make sure the kids eat lol.

When her sister is in town she sits with us and so does her 21 yr old twins. I like our arrangement better than being at the big folks table.

We don't have a kids table. The kids outnumber the adults!
We used to have one when I was little. It was attatched to the adults table so it was no big deal. I like us all sitting together. The kids are pretty fun to watch at the table. :cutie:
