The Kiddy Board

Hi, everyone,

Last month, we took our five month twins and our five year old to Disney. Our five year old has been King for a long time, and still used his stroller on occasion (heaven forbid the King walk....)

Anyway, now that the twins are here, and King has been displaced, we were nervous about Disney days.

We found the Kiddy Board on ebay for about $50. It is in Leaps and Bounds or One Step Ahead for about $80. The board clips to the back of the stroller, and the big kids basically just cruise between your arms. It was a godsend.

A number of people stopped us through the day to ask about it, and I thought about suggesting to City Hall that they sell them in Liberty Square - the place where people are midday and when kids hit the breaking point!

Anyway, I would completely recommend this for anyone with a big kid and a little kid. It was the best. And, no, he isn't asking to use it at the mall or anything. He CAN walk, and does now, but those long days at Disney can be a bit much!

Just a suggestion from a Happy Mom.

I used to use my pliko with the step on the back in much the same way. I took my girls to wdw when they were 3 and 6 without dh and the pliko was ideal. Light enough to manuver on and off the bus alone but kept my oldest from getting to tired.

I recently saw the kiddie board you mentioned at wdw and think it looks really cool. I also saw one that was a seat that attached on the back like the kiddie board to make a typical stroller into a sit n stand type stroller, that looked cool as well.

Aren't they a fantastic invention?! We have a 'Buggy Board' (which is the type which attaches to an umbrella fold stroller or any stroller without a rear axle) and we only use it when on vacation. It makes it a bit harder to push (cos there's a large-ish child in the way!) but at least it stops the moaning!

The version with the seat is called the Seat-2-Go. I've never used one of those, but I thought I'd throw in the right name:

(The same merchant also stocks the Kiddy Board and Buggy Board.)

I have used a Buggy Board, to accomodate my then-6yo nephew on a trip when DS was small; it worked like a charm.

If anyone has a Zany Brainy nearby that is still not quite closed yet, they always stocked these, and would probably have a good price if they have any left.

Another buggy board fan here too!! I get stopped constantly by people asking questions about it. 9 out of 10 times it is by men. I think they like the engineering concept behind it!!
