Cast of Characters:
Me (Amanda), 26: Obsessed Disney Wife
Ray, 29: Not-so-obsessed Husband. (I think he thinks I’m a little crazy  )
Valerie, 11: My Cousin, who is way too cool for her own good
Kayla, 9: My other Cousin (also Valerie’s sister), who is just as obsessed about planning as I am. We’ve nicknamed her The Littlest Travel Agent. And I have no idea where she got that from :teeth:

Woke up fairly early today, although we still weren’t up as early as I would’ve liked. Oh well, we’re going to Animal Kingdom, so I figured it wouldn’t be that bad. We all got ready and proceeded to the bus stop.
The place was mobbed! Such a huge change from the past few days before, so I knew that the 50th Anniversary Celebration would come back to bite me in the butt.
We got to AK about 20 minutes after opening, and it was already busy. We rushed right over to the safari, and had a 5 minute wait. We saw a lot more animals at the safari this time, so it was a lot more fun. Ray got a lot of great pics with the digital, so he was happy.
After that we stopped and got pics and autographs with some characters, Stitch and Flik from A Bug’s Life. Perfect, since we were going to the Tree of Life for the It’s Tough To Be A Bug 3-D show. It was a 10 minute wait, but didn’t seem that long, maybe because we were out of the hot sun :confused3 Ray and I loved this show this time, and it was great this time too. Even the girls liked it, and I was worried the bugs would scare them.
After that we looked around in some shops for a little while, and headed back toward the entrance for our noon PS at Rainforest Café. It was about a 10 minute wait, so we checked out the store, then got seated. The food was awesome, as usual. This was Ray’s favorite restaurant, so he was happy. I got the Cyclone Crab Cake sandwich, which was delicious, and Ray got the appetizer sampler. I don’t remember what the girls got, but I’m sure it consisted of chicken strips and cheeseburgers  The food and atmosphere was awesome, but the waiter just rubbed me the wrong way. He wasn’t friendly at all, and he acted like he was going to go postal at any minute.
After lunch we headed toward Dinoland, and went on Dinosaur. There was no wait, so I was happy. So far we weren’t doing too bad at all as far as wait times. :) Dinosaur was a good premise, but ouch, what a bumpy ride. I probably won’t do it again, my back was killing me after because of all the sudden jerky movements. The girls wanted us to go on Primeval Whirl, but Ray chose to sit out, so I went on with them. Another mistake, this one was a killer on my back as well. We walked around a bit, then headed to Kali River Rapids. We were all psyched about this one, so after a brief pit stop we headed to the ride. It started sprinkling, and we noticed a bunch of people leaving the line for Kali, so we took that as a sign and hopped in line. After all, we’d be wet anyway, right? It was probably a 10 minute wait, but just as we got up to the turnstiles, they announced that the ride was shutting down due to incoming inclement weather. The CM wasn’t that nice either, some of us wanted to wait in line until they got it going again, and she copped a total attitude  After 5 minutes we decided to give it up, so just as we were leaving, people were getting back in line because they opened it up again...figures!! We wanted to see Festival of the Lion King, so we headed towards the theater. It was a first for all of us, what an awesome show! There really wasn’t a bad seat in the whole place, and there was lots of room for everyone. After the show let out it must’ve rained because there were huge puddles everywhere, so while the throng of people was trying to get out of Camp Minnie-Mickey, we parked it on a bench, eating ice cream and people watching. Boy there are some strange people at WDW when you stop to watch them all :rotfl2:
There wasn’t much else we wanted to do at AK, so we went back to Pop. Ray had been dying to play mini-golf the first time we went to WDW and this time, so I caved and we got in the car for Fantasia Gardens. It was a fun course, although a bit overpriced IMHO. Although, what isn’t at WDW, right? Anyway, golf was fun, and afterwards we decided to get dinner offsite. We got in the car and hit the road, and of course it started downpouring. Hmm, this was becoming a theme every time we got in the car  We were a little overwhelmed at the choices of restaurants, so we ended up at Shoney’s near Downtown Disney. We were actually really surprised, and HOORAY, the kids ate something besides chicken strips and cheeseburgers!!
After dinner we decided to stop at DisneyQuest and use up more of those plus options. I thought Ray and I would hang out and let the kids play, but I think we enjoyed it more than the kids! Especially the old style video games, Galaga and Ms. Pac Man particularly. And, we didn’t have to pay to play each of the games, since it was covered in our admission. We’ll definitely do this again, it was a lot of fun.
We left around 10:30 and went back to POP and went right to sleep.
