Cast of Characters:
Me (Amanda), 26: Obsessed Disney Wife
Ray, 29: Not-so-obsessed Husband. (I think he thinks I’m a little crazy  )
Valerie, 11: My Cousin, who is way too cool for her own good
Kayla, 9: My other Cousin (also Valerie’s sister), who is just as obsessed about planning as I am. We’ve nicknamed her The Littlest Travel Agent. And I have no idea where she got that from :teeth:

Got up a little later than expected, but still ended up making it to Epcot about 10 minutes after opening. I think we were all in a much better mood today; the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, it was gonna be a magical day!
As soon as we got into the park, we jetted for Test Track. Last time we were there the lines were always a minimum of 50 minutes, so we wanted to make sure we got that out of the way. We walked right on, and all 4 of us actually went on. It was probably better than I remembered it being before, and everyone loved it. We checked out some cars on our way out, I still think I look damn good in the Hummer, but Ray thought it was a bit out of our budget :confused3
Next up was Mission: Space, which I wanted to sit out for (I get kind of claustrophobic), so I parked it on a bench and waited for the 3 of them to get done. I chatted on the phone with my mom and grandmother for a bit, then about 15 minutes later I met them in the Mission: Space gift shop. Ray and Valerie loved it, but Kayla chose to sit out right before they got on. We decided to skip Universe of Energy, and headed for The Land to ride Soarin’. Had about a 5 minute wait, but it was worth it, we all loved it! It felt so real!
We rode Living with the Land afterwards, which was another one we missed last time.
After that we went over to Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and had a 10 minute wait. We all liked this one a lot, although Philharmagic was still our favorite :)
Then we had to decide what to do for lunch. I thought we could stroll around the countries and get whatever we wanted, but we were losing steam and the girls weren’t too impressed with the countries. I had a brilliant idea though…what about the Boardwalk? I either wanted to try the ESPN Club or Beaches N Cream, so I figured it wouldn’t be as busy away from the park. We hopped a boat to the Boardwalk, and after looking around, realized we’d got off too early. For some reason, I thought the both places were on the Boardwalk, but after looking around realized only the ESPN Club was on the Boardwalk. I asked a passing CM about Beaches N Cream, and she said it was over at the Yacht & Beach Club. Oops :rolleyes1 We ended up at ESPN Club, and it was yummy. I got the BBQ Pork Sandwich, and Ray got the Home Run Hot Dog, which was a bit more food than he expected, but was still good. The girls got Chicken Strips and Cheeseburgers again, no surprise there. We really enjoyed the Trivia they had there, although we didn’t win anything. After lunch, we decided not to go back to Epcot, so we caught a bus from the Boardwalk to Downtown Disney. We were the only ones on the bus, so when we left, Kayla made it a point to walk down to the bus driver and say “Have a Magical Day!”. He got a huge smile on his face and thanked her, so Kayla made it her personal mission to say that to every CM for the rest of the trip :sunny:
We checked out some of the shops at Downtown Disney, but mostly we were on a mission to find some Chip N Dale merchandise, since they’re Kayla’s favorites. No luck there, but we did find some cute souvenirs for them to bring home.
We picked the bus up again to the Swan & Dolphin, so we could catch a boat to MGM. This bus was busier than the last one, so we had to stand this time. It wouldn’t have bothered me so much, except that it was a bus full of adults, and not one of them would stand up to give Kayla a seat  They saw she had a cast on, and soon after we got on the bus she started complaining that her ankle was hurting. Instead of anyone offering their seat, they all sat there, so Kayla ended up sitting on the floor. Oh well, lesson learned, apparently not everyone has the magic spirit, so I'll let that go.
We got off at the Dolphin (or maybe it was the Swan :confused3 ) It was whichever stop was first. We strolled through the lobby and waited for the next boat to MGM. After a leisurely ride, we got to MGM, and still had a couple of hours before our PS at Hollywood & Vine. It was getting cloudy, but it was still not too bad. We checked out wait times on the board, and Rock N Roller Coaster was only 15 minutes, so since Val wanted to ride it again we did. Ray and Kayla waited for us, and I didn’t scream so much this time, I just closed my eyes and prayed :rotfl:
After that we wanted to see The Little Mermaid, so we got Fastpasses and jetted over to do Star Tours. I thought it seemed longer last time, but maybe it was me. We made it back to The Little Mermaid right as our FP time ended, and just as they were letting people into the show. The seats were pretty good, but the show was cheesier than I remember it being. Even the girls didn’t think it was that great, the CM playing Ariel was out of tune, and they could see the CM’s moving the fish during Under the Sea
We got out of that and went to Hollywood & Vine for our PS, which was about a 15 minute wait.
I was psyched, it was my favorite restaurant last time. We started around the buffet, and had a bunch of different things, all yummy. I thought the food was awesome; Ray didn’t eat too much because he had a stomachache, Valerie picked at some stuff, and Kayla had corn. Yup, I just spent a bunch of money on food that no one ate, so I was NOT pleased at that point. I felt the tears start rising up, but I bit my lip and ignored them. I was so mad that I planned and tried so hard to get us a PS at Hollywood & Vine for the Fantasmic package, and it felt like none of them appreciated it. I took a 5 minute break outside, and when I went back in we were all in a better mood. Why ruin a perfect day because of corn, right? :confused3
After we paid and got out of there, we stopped to do Muppets 3D, which wasn’t that great at all. Definitely will be skipping that next time  The girls wanted to check out the Honey I Shrunk The Kids Playground before Fantasmic, so we let them burn off some energy for a little bit. When we left, it started getting very cloudy and sprinkling, so we put on our ponchos and headed to the Fantasmic theatre. Got good seats, and we were there 45 minutes before the show started, so we had some time to kill. The rain, unfortunately kept picking up, but they didn’t tell us it was cancelled, so that was a good sign. By the time the show started, it was pouring so hard we were all drenched, even with our ponchos on. The show started, and about 10 minutes in they stopped and cancelled the show. We were in the middle of a full fledged thunderstorm at that point, so we made our way back to the bus with the rest of the crowd, and luckily got the first bus to POP. We stopped at the food court for some snacks, and when we were headed back to the room the rain stopped of course  We made it an early night and went to bed around 10:00, with a perfect day behind us...except for the rain of course!

Good report! I know what you mean about the "Corn"! My DDs do that to me sometime! They're starving, until you sit down to eat. Sometimes, I don't think everybody understands what we go through to get those PSs!!!!

I remember a few years ago, we went with my in-laws and we went to the breakfast buffet at the Polynesian. My father-in-law had a cup of coffee. That's all. He wanted to make sure he would be hungry for dinner that night! My mother-in-law was so mad! (And she let it ruin her whole day though)

Sorry about the rain though!!

I think people just forget to post sometimes. Great reports so far and I appreciate your sharing. Like you, I hate blowing money on meals that don't get eaten, but it sounds like you handled it pretty well. You will get lots of practice at it though when you have your own kids.

Thanks for posting! I can't wait for the next installment!

I think it is great that you took your cousins on your trip!

Kelly
