Cast of Characters:
Me (Amanda), 26: Obsessed Disney Wife
Ray, 29: Not-so-obsessed Husband. (I think he thinks I’m a little crazy  )
Valerie, 11: My Cousin, who is way too cool for her own good
Kayla, 9: My other Cousin (also Valerie’s sister), who is just as obsessed about planning as I am. We’ve nicknamed her The Littlest Travel Agent. And I have no idea where she got that from :teeth:

This morning we woke up not as early as I hoped…I guess the 13 hour day we had the day before really did us in.
We got up and ready and out the door by 9:00, got to Disney MGM Studios by 9:30. Valerie had been dying to do some real grown up rides, so we headed over to Rock N Roller Coaster. There was no way Ray or Kayla were going to be convinced to ride that, so they sat outside and Valerie and I went on. There was no wait, so that was good, although I think having a couple of minutes to settle my stomach from the danish I had for breakfast would’ve been nice.
From the moment the ride started I screamed. All I can say is thank God it was in the dark, or we would’ve had some problems. :rotfl: It was definitely an awesome ride though, I even told Valerie I’d ride it again  We bought the picture of us, just because the look on my face is priceless…I look like I’m going to jump out of my seat :rotfl2:
Valerie really wanted to ride Tower of Terror, but there was no way I was ready for heights. We met up with Ray and Kayla, and proceeded towards the big “cone”, as Kayla calls it :confused3 Went on the Great Movie Ride, which the girls weren’t impressed with, although I enjoyed it. When Ray and I went last time it was being rehabbed, so it was our first time too. It wasn’t that bad, and it was nice to get out of the heat :)
After that we went to check out Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and the next show was 20 minutes away. We walked down towards the Backlot Tour a little bit, and Sorcerer Mickey was there all by himself, with no line! We took advantage of that and got some autographs and pics, then went to WWTBAM.
This was another favorite, although I was bummed that the highest spot I got was 3rd place on the board. Last time I got #2 twice and #1 once, so either I’m getting more stupid, or the questions are getting more difficult
After that we had about 40 minutes till our lunch PS, so we went to do the Backlot Tour. The girls liked this one too, although I was getting worried that we’d be late for lunch, so after we were done we booked it to the Sci Fi Dine In. We got there on time, but of course there was still a 15 minute wait, so we ended up relaxing a bit.
Lunch was really good, we got the Spinach & Artichoke Dip as an app, Ray got the Reuben, and I got the Blackened Catfish Sandwich. The girls got chicken nuggets and a cheeseburger, as usual. The app was good, Ray’s Reuben was awesome, and my sandwich was okay. Next time I’ll stick with the burger. :sad2:
After lunch Ray wanted to go see some shows and do more attractions, but I was pretty much spent. This is where the Meltdown occurs. I tried to tell him that each day I wanted to take a break, not only to rest, but so we could enjoy the pool. He got angry because he wanted to stay, and we ended up on a bench arguing like 5 year olds. I did feel bad for the girls, they didn’t want to choose sides or hurt anyone’s feelings, but I know they wanted to go back to the resort and go swimming. I told Ray he could go see the stuff by himself, or take one of the girls, but he thought we should do everything together, so we were both pretty frustrated. We ended up sitting on the bench for a good 5 minutes not talking, but it must’ve worked because it gave us some time to calm down.
Ray decided it was a good idea to relax back at the hotel, so we hopped a bus back to POP and hung out at the 60’s pool. Ray strolled around the resort and told us that the 50’s pool was virtually empty, so we all went over there. Ray must’ve felt comfortable, because even he went in the water, and he HATES swimming :)
After we swam, we went back to the room to relax and get ready for dinner. Our initial plan was to hop a bus to MK then get on the monorail to the Contemporary, but we had some time to kill, so we ended up taking a bus to Epcot, then taking the monorail to the TTC, and then taking the monorail to the Contemporary. We had about a 10 minute wait for the monorail at Epcot, which wasn’t so bad. I asked the CM if we could ride up front, and sure enough they let us! I don’t know who was more excited, Ray or Kayla. Not a bad time for their first monorail ride. :) At the TTC we got the resort monorail right away, and we were right on schedule. Ray and I decided we’d definitely have to stay at the GF sometime, it’s just so beautiful :rolleyes1 Everything was fine until MK, when the monorail was a standstill for a good 15 minutes. I guess there were “technical difficulties”, so we were stuck while they fixed it. At this point we were late for our PS, and just when I was about to get out of the monorail and walk to the Contemporary, we started moving. Got to our PS at Chef Mickey’s about 10 minutes late, but the CM said it was okay, since they were a bit busy anyway. Busy was an understatement, the place was a madhouse!! We got our pic taken, then as we were going to wait for our table, Donald came out. There wasn’t really a line, so the girls got their autograph books and camera ready. Kayla was standing in line waiting for another child to finish greeting Donald, and went to walk up to him, when this family with 3 kids walks up out of nowhere and cut in front of Kayla. I didn’t have much patience at this point, and maybe I was tired, hungry, annoyed, or all of the above, but I kind of snapped. Kayla looked forlorn and went to walk away, but I told her (in a loud enough voice for the parents to hear) “Kayla, you go right back there and stand in line. You did a very good job of waiting your turn, so don’t back down because someone cut in front of you”. I’m usually not so brazen, but frankly I was PO’ed. The parents (maybe out of embarrassment) apologized and told their demon children to wait their turn, and Kayla got her autograph and picture with Donald. I apologized to the dad for snapping, but really I wasn’t sorry. Yes their children were excited, but it’s the parent’s responsibility to teach them self control and patience.
Luckily a CM took us to our table right away, so no fights ensued, but wouldn’t you know it the family was seated two tables away from us.
The rest of the meal was wonderful though; the food was awesome, especially for a buffet. And the characters each came to our table twice, so the kids loved it. Afterwards we were stuffed, and I personally wanted to go back to our room, but Ray had his heart set on Spectromagic, so we headed back to the MK.
It was already 8:00, so we got a spot right near City Hall and waited for the parade to start. The place was packed, but we stood our ground and had pretty good viewing spots. The parade was pretty good; I personally it was worth standing there waiting for it, but Ray was happy he got to see it. As soon as it was over we jetted out of there and headed to the bus. The bus was a bit packed, but I put Kayla on my lap, Valerie had her own seat, and Ray stood. Made it back to POP in one piece, then went back to the room and went right to bed, exhausted!
