The "ketchup" place.............

Whispering Canyon. You do get alot of ketchup when you ask, but at the same time, my brother asked for a large soda, and he got a bucket with a huge straw in it. Also, there are fun, not rude waiters and waitresses playing with your kids. You'll have a fun time if you go.

This will be so much fun its going to be are first time there! I love ketchup on my chicken and meat and whenever i ask for it get a like one squirt of it at Disney ts i guess I won't be running out of it here hahaha!! :lmao: :woohoo::jumping1: :p

The Whispering Canyon Cafe can be a lot of fun, but if anyone in your group definitely does not like to be the butt of jokes or have attention drawn to them, this may not be your kind of place. It's an experience where a sense of humor and the ability to NOT take yourself (or others) too seriously will come in very handy. Though we have never asked to be handled gently, I suppose you could mention to your wait staff that you'd rather not participate in the "antics".

For those seeking a quiet and relaxing meal, I would advise passing on WCC. Dinner and breakfast are the rowdiest times, lunch tends to be a bit quieter, though still not exactly tame.

Have a great trip!

I may be wrong. But Iremember a CM @ POP saying that the antics are only done at dinner. For lunch they have regular wait staff.

not entirely true, but it is far more subdued. and ketchup is already on the table.

:rotfl: Looks like someone can't handle a themed restaurant.

Not every person enjoys every type of restaurant. That's why WDW is so great - there's all sorts of themed dining - gourmet Victorian, Hawaiian Luau, Wild West, and everything else! You would never hear someone say that another "can't handle" Victoria and Albert's.

I couldn't handle V&A's! Too froo froo frumpy for me! ;)

Funny thing about WCC and its soulmate, 50's Prime Time - people keep coming back for abuse! :thumbsup2

We like it, but we're the kind of family who rolls with the punches. But I'd be real wary of who I took with us as a guest (but we don't have too many stuffy friends, either.)

It is L-O-U-D. And, for us, a lot of fun. Helps if you're an unrepentant carnivore, too.

Now, as far as rudeness, the only place I've felt like I was a 2nd class citizen at WDW was at Planet Hollywood, but our poor server was obviously frazzled because of the totally obnoxious table down from us she was having to deal with. I did coax a smile from her before the evening was out, tho.

I'm sorry you didn't like it, but like I said, there's so many places in WDW - everyone has to like at least a few, and everyone probably dislikes at least one!

What I meant was that most people who like a place do not tell someone who didn't that they "can't handle" something - I thought that poster's tone was a little demeaning.

I have an ADR for Whispering Canyon this summer, so I can't give my view on it yet. I like good BBQ, but I also like the "frou frou" foods as well. I love trying new tastes.

Actually, I've never been there! I KNEW it wasn't the kind of restaurant for my family. We're the WC kind. I was j/k with ya anyway. (Like I said, I'm the WC kind of person, the more joking and kidding around, the better I like it!)

I REALLY think I want to try this place, although I do embarass a little easily..I think DH would love it!! I want to see more pics! The katsup is hilarious and the refills too. The food looks so "home cooked" and I always miss that on vacations.
