I am excited about the expansion tand opverhaul of DCA, but I feel a lot of what they're doing is just a waste of money and space. Take the tire ride (based on the old school flying saucers) for example. I have exactly ZERO interest in such an "attraction." I feel like Disney could have used it's money a lot better in this situation.


Is Dinseyland getting rid of Toontown just like WDW?

Despite that most of us would like an all ride park, no amusment park has ever been that.

I'm not so sure that Luigi's Roaming tires will be anything like the old flying saucers. I've seen a lot of concept drawings an I think it is going to be more like a Fantasyland ride. Mater's tractor pull should be a little more thrilling.

From watching construction photos progress it's going to be a fun land. Cars was a pretty big movie and has a huge following which is only going to grow after the sequel coming out in June.

I think the land is going to be busy.

DL has a real Toontown. WDW's version was built for a different use completely and more or less tacked on.

There are rumors just rumors of a new land or big expansion at DL but it nothing like the MK expansion.

Good Saturday Evening, MISFITS!!!

Hope everyone had a great day. San Diego started out a BEAUTY! DH & I managed an awesome 2 hour walk on the beach.

Then around 4pm, OMG, the rain, pouring down with fierce. We even had some thunder and lightening and some HAIL. Now it is raining and very windy.

I saw a hail photo on FB, was it bad? I think my friend who posted it lives in Temecula or maybe Vista.

I totally agree! Also, visiting Disneyland is a real hobby too! The flower pictures are beautiful. It is like looking at an early spring.

But she already told them Disney was her hobby and they being "those people" said it was not a hobby. So the photo thing is her 2nd hobby that might be "acceptable" to the non Disney crazy in her family.

Why is it that people that should be positive influences in your life, instead, intentionally attempt to make you feel inferior, stupid,and worthless? And what is worse is that they to one degree or another make you feel just that way. Even though you really are not any of those negatives.
Like they say... you cannot choose your relatives. I wish that one could.

You should read the book, "How Full is Your bucket".

Matt- I have an A+ in cooking class and I cook all the time at home. I know how to cook really well and I love it but its nice to be able to get out once in awhile without driving for hours or always eating the same things. It will take time for me to get enough things for me to cook a full meal.

I understand you reasoning for wanting places to go out.

When I was in college I went out almost once a week. We had a bunch of pizza parlors/bars. 2 chinese places, one was cheap and good the other expesive and good. Perkins, and then a regular array of fast food. I did quite often after my first couple years though, learn about new local places in the surrounding towns.

If I was going out it was either real quick to the BK near campus, or we'd make an evening of it and go further.


As far as Davis, something must be up with that place. I've only been through once off the freeway and my feelings were, where is the simple college food. I figured maybe I was on the wrong road. Maybe there really isn't anything. I started to wonder if UCD was a tiny school. Turns out it was almost 5 times bigger than my Alma Mater.

I'm going to be honest.....yeah that campus is HUGE....BUT its old, pretty junky and people drive horrible around there. The houses near it arnt very good either. Well the food.....wasn't anywhere to be found. So I'll just mark that strait off my list.

Row, there is always University of Anchorage Alaska, it may have some snow in the winter. But it would be a good experience. It amazes me the number of out of state students who come here on purpose.

Are any public school in California not looking junky? I know CA has a debt problem.

About the houses around campus you will find that almost everywhere. Because the houses are rented to college students. Only places that are inner city tend to be better. Of course if the area around a campus is nice and rent is high the students probably live elsewhere.

There are alot of really nice schools non junky in Ca. I love a ton of them. But I think I want to leave Ca for awhile for school then hopefully coming back. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Chrissie- I've looked at alot of colleges in ALL different states. We just have to wait and see. I dont know where exactly I want to go yet.
