So the good news, I found my phone. I hadn't seen it since running errands this morning. Since it wasn't beeping in the house I wasn't sure where I left it. My main though was that I left it at the bank when I was pulling stuff in and out of my wallet I had left it on a counter.

But I had to put something in the car for tomorrow, good thing I checked while there. It was sitting in the cup holder.

The bad news, though as soon as I opened it to see I had missed severall calls from a bunch of people, it died. It's almost warmed up now, so hopefully it's taking the charge easily. I can check messages in a minute.

Brant let me sleep in & he got Colton ready for school today and he did dishes!
I got my really expensive bauble for our anniversary in November. We got new wedding bands and I finally got an engagement ring. So we agreed romantic presents were not needed for Valentines Day just doing things for each other. We are having a farm fresh ham for dinner.

oh well a years worth of ham is nice! if needed

straight out of the smokehouse oink oink (I pay someone to do the slaughtering & cutting though) Nothing at the grocery store like it. It went to the slaughterhouse just before we left for DL and we picked it up when we got back.

I ended up working just a couple of hours with her. She needed to go to the grocery store. Unfortunately, she does not have steady hours for me, nor enough. So I will be looking for more work, elsewhere. She is too picky and cranky anyway....

ohh one of those people

172 lbs Ham, bacon, pork, chops, ribs, sausage, loins & roasts both seasoned & unseasoned, pretty basic. Costs me $125 for the pig from local farmer then the processing cost me $111 so $1.37 per pound for a years worth of pork not a bad deal and so much better without all those preservatives and other junk.

I eat meat, but I do not make animals suffer.

I am more terrified of rodents than bugs. Especially one's with long tails. I can look at a picture of a mouse and start finding it hard to breath. I'm not sure why, I just can't stand them. My daughter has a hamster, it's very cute, looks like a little teddybear, but I can't hold it.

hmm yeah i would be to of hamseter, they are cute but if i see it running across the floor i will do #2 in my pants! mise are worse. ugggh

so how is everyone? how was valentine's day so far for everyone? what did everyone do?

i went to disneyland, they hade a special 2 magicales, 4 choclate dipped srawberries, hand made vanilla bean marshemellow dipped in choclate and white chocolate pistachio brittle.....
omg and it was for $20 for two. i did not have it, but i heard it was good!! i did have my stanford, i did have fun at DCA for the night and it was busy !

So how is the bacon sliced? That sounds really good, how big was the pig? My friends sell cows but it comes to about 300 pounds so it's best to split. But after proccessing about $2 even per pound.

It was truly a porker! Punny? Last years pig only gave us 130 lbs. Ya when we get a cow it will actually be split 3 ways between my mom, my sister & us.

I hope the pig did not suffer. For it is my understanding that to this day, pigs are not humanely killed. Nor are cows always either. The whole subject frankly regarding slaughtering animals that I know that I would have as pets, is just so disturbing that I really cannot stand to think about it for too long. Besides... this subject just does not have anything to do with Dl. Ok, my post does not either, but it is not of a disturbing nature either.

#1 the community side of the board is to talk with others who love Disney "about any old thing under the sun" This side of the board exists expressly so we can go off topic and get to know one another. If you were offended by our conversation I am sorry, however I was not trying to start a political debate I was simply answering questions posed to me by another poster. So if you were disturbed I am sorry that the country way of life, the original American way of life is offensive to you. Keep buying your meat in white paper and believing it fell from the sky that way.

#2 The inhumane slaughterhouses you are talking about are usually large slaughterhouses who mass produce meats that you then buy at your local grocery store. Not a small town slaughterhouse where each animal goes from the farm to the slaughterhouse floor and are dispatched humanely then packaged to go to me the purchaser. The pig farmer we work with takes no more than 2 pigs at a time and he has to schedule that around others that have animals to bring in as the slaughterhouses job is not to house animals.

Howdy Everyone!!!

A good day so far. Got a few things out of the way which is nice. One was a meeting which I missed yesterday because I couldn't find my phone.



Coltonsmom I saw what you wrote about the weather and walking. It is so warm I saw a 50 on a thermometer a little bit ago. The snow is melting fast and there are giant puddles in the road. It hasn't been 50 for a few months, it's crazy t shirt weather all of a sudden.
