As DCL's prices keep on climbing, I thought a thread of other good options would be interesting. The "instead thread". And who knows, if Disney watches these boards, a side by side comparison of their pricing and loyal guests opening their wallet to someone else...oh, who am I kidding? They still won't care.

Instead of DCL 12 night BI 2017- 2 adults veranda stateroom $15,008, I'm sailing Princess 12 night BI extended 10th deck veranda for $6800.

I'm a platinum cruiser.

Instead of another 7 night E or W Caribbean on the Fantasy, (first week of June 2017), in 1 family ocean view for 4 at $9000ish, we are doing:

8 nights on Carnival Vista on 6/3/17 for a S Caribbean, (Aruba, Grand Turk, DR, Curaçao), in 2 insides for $5200 including gratuity and insurance.

Doing this allows us to do a 2nd cruise in October 2017.
