The Ingredients for Pixie Dust, a June 2010 TR - 10/2 DIsney Halloween PTR started!

Chcuk E Cheeses has that kind of virtual rollar coster thing too. Claire will sit and do it over and over.
I loved legos as a kid and it's probably one thing I don't mind palying as an adult. It is messy to pick up after though.

This is the Tshirt I contemplated buying for my kids, but apparently I have one in a few years, when Connor outgrows it!!! ;) Thanks Jackie!!! :thumbsup2

This shirt?

dismeet058.jpg

I sure hope Bella didn't get a bunch of chocolate icing from her Mickey cookie on Connor's nice shirt this weekend
and ruin it for its future wearers. :)

 MeMom I was thinking that Connor had that same shirt on when I was over on your TR today
Narcosse's might be on our long list for May.....I truly have NO idea!!! :rotfl:
Cute dresses in the store....it seems like stuff that you don't see at other shops :confused3
I love the pink sugar too!! :thumbsup2
It really does give you a different perspective of how widespread all of the fireworks are when you see them from afar!
And yes, missy, we are waiting on the news!!! :flower3:

Tracy

Ah, yes, the Lego Store -- nirvana for boys of all ages!

Swimming, drinks, and ice cream are the perfect way to spend the rest of the afternoon.

Narcoossee's does sound delicious, and you can't beat the view of the fireworks.

I think the picture of you with the boys is very cute -- I never would have guessed you were about to fall in the fountain. LOL!

I can report that Connor's shirt escaped any chocolate from Bella. It is still safe for future wearers! :thumbsup2

Yum! I am loving the sound of Pink Sugar! I wonder if they have it on the Basin website! I will have to go investigate...

The last monorail ride almost had me tearing up! :sad1:

I thought of you last night. We went to a wedding reception for a work colleague/friend who got married this summer in Rome, Italy. We had a great time -- it was outdoors with an open bar...:rolleyes1 Anyway, Laura (the bride) had these fabulous cookies shaped like Italy. She sent us home with some, and I had to take a picture to show you just how cute they were!!!

That is soooo funny! I was cracking up at the pics on your TR too! I am slowly getting through MeMom's!!!

It really smells edible.

The last monorail ride almost had me tearing up! :sad1:

Oh I am fine, honestly, at the time, I never gave it a thought. Only here, months later, I am whining.

THESE cookies, and your story!!! Are AMAZING! SO cool looking! I may have to try that for Christmas!!! Thanks for sharing the pic!!

Do you have another trip planned!? :yay:

Well....;)

new news? :cool1:

Yes! New News!

New news? Such a tease! :upsidedow I will have fun looking forward to hearing all about it.

I may have asked you this before but I've forgotten. How do you combine DIS'ing with the treadmill? I think I'd fall right off! :scared1: But it would be great if I could force myself to exercise while I'm DIS'ing away... at least some of the time!

Oh, well I wasn't trying to be tooo tricky about it! It's coming...

:rotfl: I always thought about that too....like typing etc....

Oooh new news!!!! :flower3:

Tracy

For you two asking about the treadmill, it is pretty simple! My DH cut a piece of plywood to lay across the handles of our treadmill. We have a Nordic Track one with these big handles that go around, and so the board lies flat, and I can place my laptop there. I basically crank the incline and the speed is a good pace, but not that I have to "run" (power walking at it's best!) So I am going fast enough to be areobic, but can also read and type a little...

The first week will do that to you!
Ohhh new news! Curious...popcorn::

Good grief, it has felt like the first three weeks. Well, maybe that is because this is the third week... lol!

You are such a TEASE! Get back here, girly, and tell us your new news!

Oh I am sorry, I am so sorry for causing such a raucous! :rotfl:

Since school has started back, the whole gang of us has been around a lot less, so I wouldn't think a thing about it.

Looking forward to the news! :cool1:

Oh MeMom, thanks! I am still so out of sorts!!! BUT I am catching up!

Ahem... didn't someone say something about new news? Does it have anything to do with that Disney itch you just said you want to scratch? Does it? Inquiring minds... popcorn::

WELLLLLLLLL, the same could be said about you Missy Miss! I just found your new PTR with that spiffy link button and very very cool cast of characters. OMG you guys will have a great time!

My new News.. My new news is that... I haven' gotten to that In my TR yet... ;)

What a fantastic and magical last day with your AP's. I LOVE that you used them practically down to the minute! And what a proud momma moment when DS asked to go to the MK! :goodvibes

I can see he takes his missions very seriously! So cute!!

I'd never thought about watching Illuminations from up there in Canada. Sounds like a good spot.

I love the music in the Mexico ride too. I was a little disappointed with the refurb they did... seems like it should be such a great ride given the setting and it's so cheesy.

OK... looking forward to your next update! popcorn::

I agree with you on the Grande Fiesta, they could have brought it more up to date, maybe different video, etc.

Canada was a good viewing spot! :thumbsup2

We had a great time, and in true DH fashion, he was sp pleased that we did actually use the passes our final few hours!!! He was thrilled to go back to the MK I know!

Yay an update!! And some reading material for karate!! We didn't make it to karate twice this week so we have to go this morning. I'll be back to comment after karate. :thumbsup2

Oh thanks for coming over and staying with me Amy! I am getting back to your PTR too, it has been very busy but I should be caught up in the next few days!

Charles isn't a fan of the Grand Fiesta ride, either, but he will tolerate it for the rest of us. LOL!

We didn't have a great spot for Illuminations, but we could see almost everything, and it wasn't crowded. There is something to be said for that!

Totally agree with that statement! :thumbsup2

I love that you and DS8 went back to the Magic Kingdom that night! Such fun to spend the final hours of your AP doing all the best rides -- POTC, Tea Cups, Haunted Mansion, and Peter Pan. Not to mention, dancing with Stitch and eating ice cream!!!

IT really was a wonderful evening. I just went along with him from place to place, camera stayed away so we could just have fun. :goodvibes

I say we both scratch our Disney itch and plan a trip for Memorial Day weekend -- need I say Star Wars Weekends and Free Dining??? ;)

Oh, careful what you wish for!! ... I am thinking... :scratchin

THESE cookies, and your story!!! Are AMAZING! SO cool looking! I may have to try that for Christmas!!! Thanks for sharing the pic!!

I knew you would like them! Saturday night Chelsea kept telling me that she thought they were cowboy boots, and I kept saying, "No, it's Italy." Now that I am looking at the picture, I really think the bakery used a cowboy boot to make them. So, Chelsea was partly right. :lmao:

Oh, careful what you wish for!! ... I am thinking... :scratchin

You know it would be fun...:rolleyes1

Have been following along and enjoying your TR. However, can't believe how long you have kept us waiting to hear the news. :rolleyes1. So I am thinking that we all start guessing what the news is. I have a few guesses but will start with one. Let's see how we do. So my first guess is that you guys decided to purchase the PAP since you are headed to DL soon.

Have a great day.

You are so right. TOO funny!! They still are adorable and I would have trouble eating them.. Like the "its a small world" Gingerbread cookies this past Christmas! I was in love with them, but couldn't bear to eat one!

You know it would be fun...:rolleyes1

Great last evening at the World!:cheer2:

Tease....

Okay you all. I really managed to get all the final photos uploaded, and I am going to finish this TR tomorrow! Seriously, I really can do it, finally!!! With so much happening in my house the past few weeks it has been a big blur, and I am amazed I could keep my head screwed on straight!!! I am SO ready to get going on our Halloween trip to Disney Land! I can't believe that this will be within the month next week!!! Crazy how the time has flown by.

I am making the rounds tonight, and will post our final half a day at Disney and souvenirs, tomorrow!

I have missed out on some good conversations, and I am sorry that I have been away, but there were so many projects and things happening.

Keep an eye out.... :magnify:

You're still making us wait LOL pirate:

I can't wait to see the last of your photos, hear your big news (sooner than later please LOL :worship:), and talk Disneyland!! How exciting is that going to be!!!!!! Halloween at DL, that is WAY TOO COOL!!!

So we left off with us hitting the hay after our final night in Disney! So let's continue with the next morning!!!

The next morning I woke up and continued packing up as much as I could without waking anyone. I went to get coffee, and walked around a little. The boys woke up shortly after, and we grabbed a few QS breakfast meals to share, which left us with four final QS credits for lunch. Back in the room, we all worked to pack up the bags and tubs and such, and then I took the boys to the pool. Here is DS8 posing with Ariel!

summer2010886.jpg

So we went to the pool, and DH began packing the Volvo. :faint I certainly got the better end of the deal!!! Of course, that was before it started to rain!!! Fortunately the car was packed before it poured! :thumbsup2 The rain wasn’t terrible, but regardless, here we are at the pool, in the rain, me under an umbrella!

summer2010889.jpg

summer2010888.jpg

They are just out there in the rain, totally oblivious!

summer2010887.jpg

Now earlier in the week I had tried to meet up with Diane (DISRUNNER). But we kept missing each other! She thought that she was going to be at Epcot on this day, and so I told her to text me to let me know if she did actually come. Well, she did! Now of course I no longer had a pass, but I told her I could at least meet her at the IG for a quick hello in person! So that is exactly what we did! I was a proper pool mess, totally a wreck :scared1:, but it was fun never the less to say HI to her and her younger son, and to actually have a chance to meet her in person!

summer2010891-1.jpg

It is so fun when you get a chance to put a living breathing person to the name and face you have come to “know” on the DIS. It was great. :goodvibes We took a couple quick pics, and said farewell! However, come to find out, she will be on the same Disney cruise we are taking, this coming June, so that is really cool, too. :yay:

Back at the pool, DH came to meet us and we all sat down for burgers at Hurricane Hannah’s. It was a perfect lunch. This was followed up by gelato, and here we are enjoying that...

summer2010892.jpg

Here is DS5 claiming that the mango gelato at HH is THE best ever. He wanted me to take a picture of it...

summer2010893.jpg

We finished up with lunch (that was a good burger, btw, maybe because I was starving, who knows, but it tasted great that afternoon!!!! )We then got changed and went out to the car.

I took this photo as we were leaving the pool ... can you see what is on this beach towel? How utterly blasphemous to actually hand a UNIVERSAL STUDIOS towel outside your prime location Disney BEACH CLUB room!!!!! :headache: LOL!

summer2010895.jpg

Final shots as we departed the Beach Club…

summer2010771.jpg

Random sky-ward photo from Happydog.

summer2010772.jpg

Oh, and here is our Mickey (who has made every trip since Christmas with us as our Dashboard mascot (it is a motion sensor – he talks) I bought him for our Christmas trip, for DH... he was not amused. On our various trips this year when the mood would strike him, he SOMETIMES would make Mickey speak, then says not so nice things to him... :lmao: It provided a few good laughs, for sure. Especially when DH affected a Mickey voice... :rolleyes1

summer2010773.jpg

NOW, though we were leaving, I did have one final stop to make. DTD to use up the last of my credits at… you know, GOOFY’s!!!

So DH let me hop out while he went to gas up the car. I bought cookies (the Selma’s they are called) the marshmallow sticks that my boys LOVE, and toffee… GOSH I love that toffee. :cloud9:

summer2010777.jpg

And THAT, my friends, was it.

The drive home was uneventful... here are the boys in the car being silly.

summer2010780.jpg

Departure was surprisingly, easy… At the TIME I was really relaxed and not hyperventilating about leaving Disney (However, now, three months later is a DIFFERENT story!!! :sad2:) I guess as we left back in June, I really felt that we had made the most of our trip, it was great fun, and I had enjoyed every minute of it!

Knowing we had the whole summer ahead of us helped, of course, as did the fact that soon, within a few months, we would be going on more adventures …. That also made it easier.

So up 95 we went, driving until dinner time, we stopped to eat, and then the guys settled down to watch a DVD in the car… They fell asleep, DH and I listened to a book on tape, I slept, he drove, and before we knew it, we were pulling up to our house.

NEXT UP!!!! SOUVENIRS!!!

THE SOUVENIR POST!!!!

Okay, so let me say this from the start. We have been buying gifts and souvenirs on each of our trips, but perhaps because I knew that I would not be back for a while, I went ahead and found myself shopping more than usual... :rolleyes1

First up a few items for me...

PINK SUGAR from Basin!!!! YUMMMMM I could eat this soap. Washing my mouth out wouldn't be half bad ... :rolleyes1

summer2010781.jpg

A hat! Which I sport on my camping trip!!! coming up later!

summer2010782.jpg

This was 50% off. Enough said.

summer2010795.jpg

I really didnt need another Disney park bag like this. I have two others. I love them for all sorts of things. So I had to have this one!!!

summer2010783.jpg

I really love this T shirt. I saw it in February, but this summer I caved...

summer2010814.jpg

DS5's NEW monorail... the other one bit the dust.. well I have a glue gun, so we'll see!!!!

summer2010784.jpg

summer2010785.jpg

summer2010807.jpg

summer2010811.jpg

summer2010812.jpg

I am still organizing all my Disney stuff, all the bags and flashing rings, etc. And I smile every time I see that soap from Basin. NO, I have not used it yet… OH! One thing I didn’t take a photo of was my H20 body wash and body butter – it is the same kind they had on the cruise. It is fabulous! It isn’t the “blue” resort kind, but I loved it on the boat, and when we were on the cruise they were out of it, so I grabbed some at the Contemporary.

Now, I still have some random camping and Scotland tour photos, a newly landscaped yard!, and some planning I have done, but I think I will use all this news on my PTR for Disneyland! So stay tuned for that new thread…:thumbsup2

IN CONCLUSION:

FIRST, thanks so much for sticking with me the past few months while I was too busy to do anything else and DIS was not an option!!!

THANK YOU for being my friends on the DIS, and letting me experience Disneyworld EVERY day that I log in and read your stories and trip plans. :grouphug: It really makes my day.

THANK YOU for reading the final TR for the Happy Dog Family’s year of Disneyworld!!!
I would say that the highlight of this trip was being able to just do whatever we felt like, whenever we wanted, the two resorts, staying for 10, really 11 days!, and enjoying all the fun of Disney in the summer with my family. :goodvibes

AND all the fabulous eating and drinking wasn’t so bad either!!!! ;)

My guys are already listening to the Disney World CD in the car again, Haunted Mansion and Winnie the Pooh are favorites… so you never know what we may have up our sleeves, but for now, I can’t wait until Disneyland, my two stays on property, in Dec and in Feb, and our cruises! Good times are coming!

I will post my new PTR when I get it started!

Great final day -- hurray for meeting Diane!!! Love the picture of the boys eating gelato -- couldn't help but notice all the soldiers laid out on the table! Too funny that DS5 wanted a picture of his mango gelato -- it does look mighty tasty! Okay, I am truly cracking up at the thought of DH making dashboard Mickey talk and then talking back to him!!! :rotfl:

Wonderful souvenirs!!! I, especially, love that Magic Kingdom magnet! That is fabulous! (You know I have a soft spot for magnets.) Some of those Legos look mighty familiar! :lmao: I would pay good money for some of those treats right now -- I think I will have to go cut up an apple and drown it in caramel sauce now. LOL!

Ditto to you for being a fantastic DIS friend -- it is always so much fun reading about your trips and plans! :goodvibes Which means you shouldn't wait too, too long to get your PTR for Disneyland up and running. ;)
