The Ingredients for Pixie Dust, a June 2010 TR - 10/2 DIsney Halloween PTR started!

Your MK solo and Epcot solo sounds like bliss :thumbsup2 I have never thought of doing this when the rest were having a rest back at room

Love the boys pics in matching t shirts waiting to ride MS. We ventured into the mexico pavillion this year, shameful but we hadn't bothered previous trips, we'll not do that again, it was great. Oh your margaritas sounds yummy :goodvibes

Hope your first week back at school goes okay, our kids are back and it is so nice having them back into a normal routine. I no longer have that guilty feeling when I leave them sleeping before going out to work the cuddles are back and we have breakfast together again :)

Sounds like a great last park day that you are having! The pictures of your boys playing after MS are great - older DS looks so serious, like he's totally getting into his 'mission'.

Love the pictures with Remy! Is he always there for lunch or is it hit or miss?

I know all about the school week going by in a blur! This is our fourth week, and it is still a blur! I was talking to my AP today, and we both agreed that we already feel so far behind on everything! It's just crazy! Anyway, I am finally getting a chance to enjoy your update!

What a great last day in the parks, and a relatively empty Epcot made it even better, I am sure! Too funny about the boys not really enjoying Club Cool -- my kids can't get enough of all that free soda. LOL!

The frozen cappuccino/Soarin' Fast Pass run is a great combo! I can attest to that! :thumbsup2

Matt and the swarm of KP agents!!! :lmao:

Love the pictures of the boys and Remy! They are so adorable!

Okay, the Mousegears/Slushie combo is even better than the cappuccino/Soarin' combo! I wish I had known you hadn't been able to find the sprinkles -- I got ours at World of Disney and would have gladly picked some up for you. :(

Dinner in Mexico and the Donald ride sound like a wonderful way to wrap up the evening! I am really hoping we will get a chance to eat at either San Angel or the new Mexican TS on our next trip.

BUT IT SERIOUSLY FEELS LIKE IT!!!!

:lmao:

Can I just say that I am slowly digging myself out, the first week of school is always NUTS!!! But I am getting back on my feet so that means my treadmill, which means DIS time! So I have to get myself on there tonight, so I will be making the rounds. I really feel like I can get my TR finished this weekend -- thank goodness for Labor day and other random days off in September!!

I already have new news to share with you!!!!

Okay friends, thanks for checking on me, and understanding my absences on your TRs and PTRs!!!!

New news? Such a tease! :upsidedow I will have fun looking forward to hearing all about it.

I may have asked you this before but I've forgotten. How do you combine DIS'ing with the treadmill? I think I'd fall right off! :scared1: But it would be great if I could force myself to exercise while I'm DIS'ing away... at least some of the time!

:rotfl: I always thought about that too....like typing etc....

Oooh new news!!!! :flower3:

Since school has started back, the whole gang of us has been around a lot less, so I wouldn't think a thing about it.

Looking forward to the news! :cool1:

Well, Here I am again, guys!!!! Thanks for sticking with me!!!! :grouphug:

So I really want to finish this evening, because I still have a day and a half to go!!! :thumbsup2

We left off with us on our last ride in Epcot. It was the Grand Fiesta Tour! Cheezy to some, beloved to my kids, and well, I just have fun listening to the music. It makes me laugh! My DH loathes this ride… but he tolerates it!

I realize I didn’t give our time in the Mexico pavilion enough credit – but we really had a lovely evening there. We enjoyed completely our dinner and drinks, the atmosphere, and the fact that the boys could go do their KP mission without us, and we felt okay with that. It was a nice way for our oldest to be the “leader” for his brother, and I knew they would be right in the area and safe.

As we left the pavilion we decided that we would go to Canada, before Illuminations. I enjoyed this. I had never explored the shops and displays! But looking at these photos, I keep thinking we did this earlier in the evening, or it turned dark really quickly, b/c it seems too light still... oh well, the point is that we did go up to see that area, and I liked it!

summer2010649.jpg

For Illuminations, though, we decided to park ourselves o n the steps in “Victoria” … The show started…

While the view wasn’t “perfect” we actually could see the lasers really well, the fireworks were great, and the globe we could see, too. It was a fine place out of the crowd, and the kids could see easily. I liked sitting there!

Well, after Illuminations ended, we strolled back to the BC. Now, at this point something rather funny happened.

DS8 said, “Mom, can we go to the MK again, like we did that one night?”

I laughed.

DH laughed. HE laughed and muttered something like "I would make a Disney junkie out of him yet," but SERIOUSLY, folks, WHAT is a mother to do??!! :rolleyes1

Sooooo DS8 and I took off for the busses, and DS5 and Dad headed back to the villa to get some sleep.

Continued in the NEXT POST!

So I guess, in the end, going to the MK for the final few hours of my annual pass use-year, is probably MORE than appro po. I wasn't going to complain. But of course as I write this, my Disney itch is starting to bother me, :scratchin I SO want to scratch it... Looking at these photos just makes me want to go back RIGHT NOW! Gosh, I am so glad I have all these other PTRs and TRs to read, because I need it!

Okay, okay, BACK to the TR....

So…

DS8 and I got to the bus stop JUST as an MK bus was arriving, YAY for BUS TIMING! and with the MK open until midnight, we had plenty of time to have some late night fun. :yay:

So off we went! :yay:

Now at this point, I really took only a few pics, and just had fun with my guy. Here are a few shots from around. We got there in time for the fireworks, I just watched this time! And after, we then made out way to Tomorrowland. We rode Buzz, of course!

summer2010679.jpg

Then, we went to check out the “dance party” with Stitch ...

summer2010686.jpg

summer2010684.jpg

summer2010683.jpg

That had lots of fun and energy on stage and in the crowd. Stitch is a little blury, but he was fun to watch! I remember the Christmas dance party there with him "capturing Santa" -- what a hoot! :rotfl:

We then walked over towards Fantasyland, and did the tea cups. Next, the carousel. He really likes this one, and so do I. At night especially.

summer2010689.jpg

I love that someday when he is older I will have these photos, because I am sure he wont be riding this much longer... :sad2:

We waited for Peter Pan, and I was so glad I got that last ride in. I just :lovestruc Peter Pan. The music always makes me smile.

And then we headed to the Haunted Mansion… Here you go Jen!!! We are not REALLY that scared... :upsidedow

summer2010690.jpg

And to top it off we rode POTC. :faint:

They were gearing up for the second showing of the parade, so we cut across to get ice cream and a cappuccino float at the Sleepy Hollow snack place (the one by the castle with the funnel cakes!) and then we strolled around the wagon wheel (the crowds were thinner at this point), and slowly up main street. We watched the parade as it went by. We walked to the gate, I was amazed he made it, but he did! We wanted to leave before the parade ended so we could catch a bus, and after this final picture, we did –

summer2010693.jpg

I saw the bus in the spot for the BC and we grabbed hands and made a dash for it. Hopping right on the bus which left a few minutes later.

That made a great ending to the night, obviously, because within the hour those passes would no longer be working -- but at least no one can say we didn't make the most of them!!!!!

We got back to the room, DS8 fell asleep on the bus, but he was a trooper this evening to say the least!

Once in bed, we all slept well, knowing that tomorrow would be our shopping day in DTD, and we were looking forward to it! :yay:

COMING UP LATER TODAY… STAY TUNED!!!!

Ahem... didn't someone say something about new news? Does it have anything to do with that Disney itch you just said you want to scratch? Does it? Inquiring minds... popcorn::

What a fantastic and magical last day with your AP's. I LOVE that you used them practically down to the minute! And what a proud momma moment when DS asked to go to the MK! :goodvibes

I can see he takes his missions very seriously! So cute!!

I'd never thought about watching Illuminations from up there in Canada. Sounds like a good spot.

I love the music in the Mexico ride too. I was a little disappointed with the refurb they did... seems like it should be such a great ride given the setting and it's so cheesy.

OK... looking forward to your next update! popcorn::

Yay an update!! And some reading material for karate!! We didn't make it to karate twice this week so we have to go this morning. I'll be back to comment after karate. :thumbsup2

Charles isn't a fan of the Grand Fiesta ride, either, but he will tolerate it for the rest of us. LOL!

We didn't have a great spot for Illuminations, but we could see almost everything, and it wasn't crowded. There is something to be said for that!

I love that you and DS8 went back to the Magic Kingdom that night! Such fun to spend the final hours of your AP doing all the best rides -- POTC, Tea Cups, Haunted Mansion, and Peter Pan. Not to mention, dancing with Stitch and eating ice cream!!!

I say we both scratch our Disney itch and plan a trip for Memorial Day weekend -- need I say Star Wars Weekends and Free Dining??? ;)

Ummmmm, HD? I'm really glad to have an update, but what about that new news you were going to share?! Inquiring minds need to know

I love that you and DS went to MK on your own to get every last minute out of your APs, and it sounds like you had an absolutely fabulous time together :goodvibes

What a great way to finish off the year! You found an amazing viewing spot for Illuminations!! I'm definitely going to remember that one. I would be willing to give up a little bit of the view for a quiet spot like that!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 We'll definitely be seeking out that spot with the boys in March!

I love that you and DS8 ended the day at MK! So much fun... and so special for the two of you. :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear your news! popcorn::

I hope you get to do this with your boys. I know so totally nothing about Star Wars, but it was still cool to see something different in Hollywood Studios. The parade was cool, and even though I didn't know who the characters were, it was fun for me to watch other people - kids and men mostly - who were really enjoying it all.

Your boys would love it, and you would love watching them love it, so I hope you guys get to do that. :)

A few pictures from our Star Wars Weekend trip:

These little boys were so into it. They had a stroller full of swords and other SW stuff.

MEMOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for sharing these pics!!!! :goodvibes

Wow. I can only say that I know my guys would be totally into it just like everyother boy in the place!!! :rotfl:

Thanks for sharing!!!!

Doesn't that just figure that your friends moved to Rhode Island? Oh, well, you are still going to have lots of fun in San Diego and Disneyland! Can't wait to see your pictures from the Grand Californian! The few I have seen are very pretty!

It is really funny -- but they actually came up last weekend so that was really fun, they took the train, and that is why I have been even more behind with DISing! I have been entertaining!! :rotfl:

YES I am really looking forward to seeing Disneyland for Halloween. I made some reservations, have a few ideas, but this is going to be so new. :scared1: Little worried, but I am sure it will be great. The GC is really nice, I have seen the inside. It is actually more impressive, in some ways, than WL.

The Stormtroopers marching all around the park are a very impressive sight! I will have to look for that DK book! Connor would be sure to enjoy it! Too funny about Nolyn!!! :lmao:

The book is on sale on Amazon -- for less than I bought it :headache: It comes with a Luke lego figure...

That parade sure does seem COOOOOOOOOL. :yay:

Good to know! I am printing this off to add to my slowly growing stack of DC stuff (that is currently in a large ziploc bag). You KNOW I will need your help planning! I checked out a couple of guidebooks from the library but didn't get very far with any of it. The most I have figured out is that I want a hotel on the Metro line. Oh, and a tentative list of places I want to go -- Folgers was on it -- want to take a peek at the First Folio on display and check out their gift shop. :thumbsup2

How was the first day back with teachers yesterday?
Oh I will GLADLY help you with anything planning wise -- the SPY museum is TOTALLY cool. And at the architecture /building museum they had a massive lego display this summer it was really neat! :thumbsup2 Not sure how long that exhibit is up.

The Folgers is definitely worth a visit!!!
