The Ingredients for Pixie Dust, a June 2010 TR - 10/2 DIsney Halloween PTR started!

I think your favorite picture is so darn cute!
If I had that fast pass mojo, I would have used the heck out of it too!:thumbsup2

So glad DH didn't spew all over the orbiter...

I know :lovestruc that smile -- such glee!!!

Oh he was being a smart alec, there... or a "smart Matt" if you will...

He just was playing around... I got a few more "smart Matt" pics.. later... just wait ;)

:lovestruc Your favorite pictures is most definitely frame-worthy! :lovestruc Adorable.

So if you had to choose b/w the cream cheese pretzel and the jalapeno pretzel, which would win?

And while I'm asking the tough questions, the MK opening show... worth getting up for an adult non-morning person with no kids? Maybe I should google/you tube it to see what it's all about.

Love the pirate faces on your boys. They are good!

I've never seen the Slippin Falls sign but it would be just like me to have a delayed reaction/comprehension. You're in good company. Or at least in company... not sure about the good part. :lmao:

CHH definitely on my list to try next trip. I'm not a tuna fan but have heard great things about the hummus sandwich.

Thanks for coming out to play tonight! :goodvibes More to come tonight, you say? :worship:

Gotta love that morning show at the Magic Kingdom! I am such a sap that I always find myself tearing up when the train pulls up and all the characters disembark!

Hello!!! I don't think you were being un-Disney-like at all getting two sets of Fast Passes -- we would have all done the same thing! :thumbsup2

Love your favorite picture from the trip! Seriously adorable!

Thank goodness DH was able to keep his cream cheese pretzel down! Now that would have made an interesting story in the trip report.

Your boys make very fierce pirates! pirate:

SOOOOOOO... After POC the boys wanted to take a look at the Pirate’s stage… they were convinced there was a way into this box… LOL!

As you can see DS5 really didn’t want to throw in the towel!!!

We were able to grab FPs for the Jungle cruise shortly after this I think – it was only 40 minutes away from the time we got them, so we just decided to get the FPs and then decided to take a spin on a ride I don’t think I have been on since 2005. The Magic Carpets!!!! We rode it, TWICE!!! NO line, especially in the heat of the day I suspect!!

I love these camels!

THIS camel SPIT on me!!!! :rotfl:

Mom, it is HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT.........

summer2010400.jpg

There was no line anywhere on this day (more or less) certainly not the crowds I had noticed earlier in the week, so it may have just been the parks we chose on those days, or the fact that we hadn't made rope drop exactly in a few cases. Regardless, it made a few extra rides easier while we were in the MK this morning. Still having a few minutes before the Jungle cruise, we were ready for a treat, so I went to get dole whip floats, and boys checked out the Tree House ... here they are from my vantage point at the Dole Whip stand! If you look hard enough you can see DH's white shirt in the trees!!!! LOL!

summer2010384.jpg

summer2010385.jpg

After Dole Whip floats (DH said "let's split one," and I said "you go right ahead and split it with your neighbor! I am getting my own!") we went back for our Jungle cruise.

Unexpectedly, the CM permitted DS8 to be the driver as we ended the cruise!! It was a neat experience for him, I could tell he was excited to participate, an at the end the CM gave him a Jungle Cruise licence, and gave one for DS5 as well. It was a fun memory for him to be sure! :goodvibes

summer2010406.jpg

DS5 was definitely interested in what the CM was saying... He really likes the Jungle Cruise!

As I look back on my photos I realize that we rode BTMRR two times, but I can’t figure our exactly where… rather DH and the two boys did. I waited by the exit to watch them zip by. I couldn’t get a photo in time, but I remember waiting because it was HOT!! So it had to be before the Jungle Cruise.. this was our last ride for the day.

We walked towards Main Street just in time to catch the Celebrate Today! Parade… but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see that!

Stay tuned for tomorrow, as we finish up at the Magic Kingdom, and we have an Epcot evening!!

Yeah, I don't believe in splitting Dole Whips, either! LOL!

For the record, I think it is sooo neat that DS8 was allowed to steer the Jungle Cruise boat!!! I want to do that and earn a license! :lmao:

I don't know if you are interested or not, but I know you are planning to go to Blue Zoo when you are at your training and I saw on Marshay's trip report that she bought a gift card off of restaurant dot com for Blue Zoo for her trip. And right now you can get one of their $25 gift cards for $2 when you use the code PLATE. I think the code expires on July 31st. You might ask her how easy it was to use if you are interested. :) It came up for me when I searched by Lake Buena Vista zip code.

Love the opening show, love your favorite picture, love Peter Pan, love the tuna sandwich at CHH, love dole whips - I could go on, but you get the picture  what a fabulous morning at the MK!

I love your fave pic of your trip...that is too cute for words.

You guys really had a productive day so far and I agree about Peter Pan being the best attraction in Fantasyland

Yes, MeMom, WigD, and myself all teach 2nd grade!

You got some great recommendations-love all the books CP mentioned. I own just about all of them and have an advanced reader...that HATES to read. It makes me so sad.:sad2: Luckily my younger one loves to read!

How exciting to have all those fun travel plans!:goodvibes

Sorry I missed this one earlier!

Yes I appreciate all the suggestions, so thanks!!! He enjoys reading, not necessarily the writing about it part though!

Yes we do have some fun coming our way...

Yes...we DID!! My DH just put ion an order afew days ago for ours fro the winter.

WOW! I guess it is good to be prepared... just hate thinking that winter is coming!!! :headache:

I just love that picture of your little man over by Kali pressing the "mean" button!!!! And the pizzafari comment!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yeah, well.... :) They both LOVE that button!!

I just adore having the in room laundry and as C said...I can only imagine how much easier it makes life with two boys! And Disney laundry is so much more fun too!! :thumbsup2

Love your pictures of SAB....such a great place to spend hot days relaxing!

Blue Zoo will be going on my list for a future trip. I know Wigd really enjoyed Shula's and I will get there someday too. I think that both of these restaurants are overlooked.

Beach Club is great. I am hooked! And yes, with all of us, frankly, I liked being able to toss a few things in to get the daily grime off! It is huge with all the things that there are at Disney that can make a mess of clothes!! Ice cream, candy, dirt, etc.!

I was really impressed with Blue Zoo. I can't wait to try it our for a full meal next time!!! :thumbsup2 I can see why they are overlooked -- at least BZ. Not really family oriented, KWIM?

You sure are one busy girl for the rest of the summer. I can't wait to hear all about your Scotland trip....just keep this one going and throw that in the mix too! :goodvibes

Tracy

Oh I will share, don't worry! It is an amazing city. We were there two years ago. This time we decided to keep it solo, so the boys are actually spending the two weeks in Oregon on my parents ranch, and I am going to Scotland with my DH and the performers. It was hard for us to maneuver them in the city last time (I was pretty much solo with them) and I think in two years time they will be of age that they will really appreciate it. We did take them to lots of theater, and there is plenty to do, but for the $$ it wasnt a family vacation, and so we would rather save our $ for a trip abroad where we are more "together" if that makes sense... they enjoyed it, no question, but to go again so soon with them isn't necessary, plus they love my parents ranch in Central Oregon. Beautiful warm weather, no bugs, no humidity, outdoor play all day! Rivers, ponds, ATVs, boats, live stock, county fair, rodeo, the list goes on!!! SO if you can believe it, I am flyiing to Oregon to fly to Edinburgh... totally counter intuitive, but it is the only way to make it work!!!

Oh, no, about the storms! That's crazy! Glad you only lost power for just a few hours!

Yes, we were lucky, some places still without power! Ours was off after the storm, and it was clearly a blip -- very unexpected -- and then the only issue we had was our Verizon service out for a few hours... so we got off easy.

:lovestruc Your favorite pictures is most definitely frame-worthy! :lovestruc Adorable.

You are asking tough questions!!!!! WELL.. since they only have the Jalepeno pretzels at AK, and they only have lost on safari at the AK, it really isn't a contest... because I would never have a choice -- they dont have the CC pretzel at the AK.... Really what it comes down to is a choice between parks, then, and of course I have to go with MK!!! but thank goodness that isn't a choice I have to make!!! So when in the AK, it is a jalepeno pretzel and a lost on safari. AND when I am at MK, it is an orange juice slushie and a cream cheese pretzel ... :rotfl2: I can't believe I have actually thought that through.... WHAT has Disney done to me!!!
Love the pirate faces on your boys. They are good!

RE the morning show... I had never seen it. and I wanted to.. We even missed a few minutes of it, but I would probably go one more time so I could really see it all. The boys love the confetti at the end.

FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely good! :)

Yes! I had heard about it too! We actually got the chicken strips meals for the kids... because the nuggets are so inadequate in my opinion.. the chicken strips were much better quality.

Oh I wanted to post this the night before and couldnt, so that is okay!! I want to try and finish most of it before I go!!! Not sure now....

:thumbsup2

It is cute! I love hearing the song they have -- it is on the CD so it was nice to see it in person!! Very cute!! I agree.

Love your favorite picture from the trip! Seriously adorable!

Aw thanks CP! I kinda wish DH's shoulder wasnt blocking his face so much, but that way I remember what was happening, and that he was with Daddy.

Ummmm yeah!! NOT a TR I would have wanted to write!! EWWW !!!!

Fierce is one way to describe it ....:rotfl2: They were definitely acting the part ... :)

Holy cats you guys did a lot! That's some serious power touring and riding! I love the fact that it was interspersed with smoothies and floats to get you through the heat. What a fun busy morning.

The speedway pic is just precious!

I'd have been using those extra FP's too...:rolleyes1

I also saw Blue Zoo on Restaurant.com, checked it out last night after I saw a post about it on the dining threads. However as with most of their GC's you have to have at least 2 entrees and given that they have no lunch menu, it made no sense for us but...might for you! The one I saw was $25 for $10, or basically covering your tip lol! Or a couple of drinks.

What a fabulous update!! Or should I say updates. :goodvibes

Sounds like you had fabulous ride mojo, what time did you end up leaving the park?

It does say two entrees now that I looked back at it, so it might not work for you guys, but if you use the code PLATE at checkout it will bring it down from $10 to $2, or at least it should ;) I've never tried them before though, but bought one for $2 to try at a local restaurant here to see how they work. One of the drawbacks I see to it, is sometimes I don't want an entree just an appetizer so I have to actually think about what we would want to order before I buy one. Hmmmm... we have a trip coming up to Austin, maybe I should see what they have available there....

What a great deal! :thumbsup2 Thanks so much for letting us know. I just checked it out and looks like all of the Swolphin restaurants are included - Bluezoo, Shula's, Il Mulino, Kimono's. A $25 gift certificate for $2 is pretty darn good! ::yes:: Unfortunately can only use one gc per table.

Hey! I am behind on responses but will get caught up, but wanted to say THANK YOU for this tip! :thumbsup2 I will definitely check it out!!!

We use it all the time for places here! We generally figure the savings cover our drinks :rotfl: You just need to look at the fine print on each as it does vary. Sometimes it is a 25 or $35 minimum and two entrees, sometimes just the dollar minimum, sometimes no restrictions at all. I don't think we've ever paid more than $10 for one but often far far less. We usually have a library of 5-10 of them handy to use for friday nights lol.
