The back you get the most air time and the longest launch for sure, but in the front you get the most g forces and you feel the turns more than in the back. At least thats my experience with it.

I'm no physicist, but I don't see how that would be possible since all the cars follow the same exact path. Maybe it's a mental thing since you are looking at where you about to go. Some coaster riders like to ride in the rear of wooden coasters because the last couple of cars often lift slightly in the air as they go over the crest of a hill. Inverted coasters are held tighter to the track and don't get near the lift in the rear.

Air time is more prevelent in the back row of a coaster, even a steel coaster, because there is nothing behind it pushing, and consequentially when the last car of the coaster reaches the top of the hill, it will be using the forward momentum of the other cars as they are already traveling downwards. Because of this, the rear car is whipped over the top of the hill and pushes up on the passengers briefly so that they almost fly out of their seats. This is otherwise known as airtime. Its all on how gravity and acceleration works with and against each other. Now, in the front car, its all a mental thing. Because you see everything coming at you, where in the middle and the back you are generally blocked from seeing anything but the backs of peoples heads.
