The Incredible Family's First Trip to WDW update 7/6 photopass pictures

Just caught up with your tr. Glad you had a good day at BB and at DHS. Looking forward to your next installment. :thumbsup2

Nice update! We went to Blizzard Beach a couple of times but haven't been there in many years. All I know is that it was a lot of fun and I'd love to go back again someday. Can't wait for more!
I hope you can go again, we loved it.
Sounds like a great trip, can't wait for the other chapters!
Thanks, next one is coming soon

Thanks, I think I will get it up today.

There was a little delay in getting my next chapter written because I have been editing my photopass pictures. They came out so good, I can't wait to share some of them. The only bummer is that it looks like the pictures we had taken in front of the castle and the girls with tinkerbell in their hand didn't get saved on our card because they are missing.

April 29-Magic Kingdom
This day started like most others, I got up got ready, got everyone else ready (dressed, coated in sunscreen, bag packedK) and waited on dh to get ready. We then headed out the door and went to Ponderosa for breakfast. It was pretty good and for $3.99 a person for the buffet, can't beat the price. Then we headed off to the TTC to park, got parked, got on the tram, and headed for the monorail, I made sure to read the signs so we didn't end up on the one headed for Epcot. :) We got on the next monorail and we on our way. The kids enjoyed the ride and as we got off the monorail and started towards the gates it was 9:01 so I am going to say we made rope drop:rolleyes1 We had our picture taken on Mainstreet and the photopass person had trouble scanning our card and had to manually enter it in, which didn't work because they are not there. I have fialed a missing picture report and am waiting to hear back. Then we headed straight to Space Mt. I was very excited because while we were in Disneyland was when it was closed for the big refurb so I haven't ridden it for quite awhile. The wait was listed as 20 min so dh got the rider switch pass and the girls and I headed in, that is quite a walk to get on the ride, I don't think we actually had to wait 20 minutes it just took us that long to walk in. :rotfl: The girls loved it and it became one of their favorites too. We came out and I swapped with dh. While they had been waiting Jack Jack had been watching the cars.
IMG_2203.jpg

Then JackJack and I headed over to wait outside Buzz Lightyear until the rest of the family was done. While we waited JackJack took part in one of his favorite activities at WDW, bowling for buzzards. He loved chasing the little birds.
IMG_2205.jpg

IMG_2206.jpg

DH and the girls met up with us and we rode Buzz Lightyear. JackJack rode in the car with dh and I and he used dh's gun. I thought it was a fun ride, I would have done it again, I think dh would have too. But, Dash didn't want to do it again. Today was the day that she decided if JackJack could go on it, it was a baby ride and she didn't want to do it.:sad2:
We finished up there and headed to Fantasyland where we ran into our friends from the hudnread acre woods. We got in line to meet them and dh went to get fastpasses for Peter Pan. By the time we got to Winnie the Pooh JackJack had decided he didn't want to meet him unless I was holding him.
IMG_2210.jpg

IMG_2211.jpg

Next was Tigger and Darby, I asked him why he didn't want to meet Pooh and he saide because he had two owies. So I told him he could show them to Tigger and he hopped down right away and went over to show Tigger his owies.
IMG_2212.jpg

IMG_2213.jpg

IMG_2215.jpg

It was so cute Tigger acted very concerned for him. We walked on to the Winnie Pooh ride, pretty much no wait, then we played in the Pooh playground until our fastpass time for Peter Pan.
IMG_2218.jpg

IMG_22201.jpg

JackJack loved the playground. We drug him away from here to go ride Peter Pan, I am so thankful we had a fastpass because this ride had a huge line, I think it was at 60min for standby already. After PeterPan we went to Mickey's Philharmagic, we got there just before the next show. This was by far one of the best shows we saw the whole trip. Once it started and I put the 3-D glasses on Jack Jack I don't think he moved, he was so engrossed in it all. We went right over to Small World and had probably a 15-20 min wait. Dash wanted to ride the carosel so we went to get in line for that, 5 min wait.
IMG_2224.jpg

IMG_2225.jpg

IMG_22261.jpg

IMG_2227.jpg

IMG_2231.jpg

IMG_22331.jpg

After a fun time was had by all we went to ride the snow white ride and then we were ready for lunch. We went in to Pinocchio's and dh went up to order while I staked out a table. I had to walk around a bit but managed to get one just as someone was leaving. DH got a turkey sandwich for us to share and it was pretty good, Dash had a pizza which she didn't really like and Violet had a kid's meal with macaroni and cheese and she didn't really like it either. JackJack liked it though and ate what she didn't.
After lunch we thought it would be a good time to go to Tom Sawyer's island and let the kids run around some. We had to wait 15-20 min for a raft.
IMG_2236.jpg

I had mentioned to the girls about finding a paintbrush and that became Violet's goal. She was so determined to find one herself and not let Dash find it that she managed to seperate herself from us (on purpose) The rest of us wandered around the island have looking for her and half just enjoying it. We found the playground Violet a few minutes apart. She hadn't found a paintbrush and was disappointed and not happy that she got a little scolding for leaving us. JackJack loved the playground
IMG_2239.jpg

I took the girls and went back to ride Big Thunder Mt. while dh stayed with JackJack to let him play a little longer. It was a 30 minute wait, not bad. It was also another great ride, the girls loved it. We came out and found dh and JackJack was already asleep in the stroller. He had gotten a rider switch while we were riding so him and the girls went back on while I went go get us a spot for the parade. DH and the girls got their just before the parade started. It was enjoyable, but hot. As soon as it was over we headed sraight to Splash Mt. we were ready to cool off and get wet. DH got a rider switch and I went to ride with the girls. We hadn't walked in very far until I realized I still had the camera and I didn't want to take that on the ride so I went back to give it to dh, only dh had disappeared. I didn't see him anywhere. So I went back to where I left the girls and tried to think of the best way to keep it dry. When we walked on we had somehow managed to get in the middle of one of the Brazilian tour groups. We were standing in line and people in their group kept pushing up to get in front of us. One girl in there group did this and then she told them to let us go up in front of them instead of everyone else pushing in front of us. Wow, I was surprised:woohoo: so we headed up in front of them. They let one other couple, I think, in front of them too. Now comes one of the only times I really experienced rude people at the parks. We had come to a point where you could see the people loading and unloading the logs and people were watching them when the line had started moving and some people in front of us hadn't noticed, they were watching the people. Well, the lady behind me must have been in a hurry because she yells "Yo, fool move" and the person realzies the line has moved and starts going forward. I was a little surprised at her impatience, I mean we got to move a few more feet, it's not like we were going to get on the ride any later because we were stopped there for a minute.:confused3 We got on the ride and I managed to keep my camera dry, it was just as much fun as I remembered. We met up with dh and him and the girls went back on the ride. As I was waiting for them I saw the dream team go in the Exit of the ride and I was hoping to see my family come out with something but they didn't. We then decided to go to the Haunted Mansion, no wait:woohoo: , then to Pirates of the Carribean, 10 min wait. JackJack woke up in time to see this one.
Next up "We need ketchup"

Love your shirts on MK day, they are so cute!! I was also excited to see your pictures of Darby. I think we'll have to plan a trip just to see her and Handy Manny. :) I noticed that you are from Oregon, how did the time difference effect you? Do you think your night in Chicago (with NO sleep) helped you to adjust? We are from Wyoming and can't seem to adjust that well, and we NEVER made rope drop!! :)
Anyway, great report. Can't wait to read more!!

Thanks the shirts weren't too hard to make. We didn't seem to have any trouble with the time change, I am sure having hardly any sleep that first night helped. We don't usually have too much trouble adjusting when we head East, it is when we come home that we have trouble staying awake at night and then wake up early.
I'm hoping to finish this MK day later today. Thanks for reading

April 29 MK cont.
After we got done riding Pirates (which is better at Disneyland IMO) it was time to head to the Wilderness Lodge for our Whispering Canyon Cafe ADR's I was so excited, I had read about them online and it just seemed like a lot of fun. We caught the boat from MK to the WL. It was a nice ride. Here is a shot from the boat.
IMG_2276.jpg

Once we got to WL we weren't sure exactly where to go but we eventually did find the restaraunt. JackJack wanted to stay by the pool though, I can't blame it, it was one of the warmer days of our trip. I went up to put our name in and dh took the kids to the lincoln logs table. I asked the lady if we could be seated in the middle of the action because I didn't want to end up in the area that is kind of seperated from the main restaraunt. She said she didn't know, we might have to wait longer and I said that was okay. She wasn't very Disney about it but I let it pass. ;)
IMG_2278.jpg

The kids had hardly gotten into the lincoln logs when our pager went off.:woohoo: So we went and got settled into our table.
IMG_2280.jpg

IMG_22811.jpg

I can't remember the name of our server, but she was great. DH and I ordered the skillet, Violet had the fish and rice off the kids menu and Dash hd the cheeseburger and fries. DH said they could order the bottomless shake (I'm sure it was because he was hoping to get some) Violet got orange cream and Dash got Cotton Candy (DH was crestfallen as he really wanted chocolate) I ordered a large diet coke, I had seen a picture of what they bring when you ask for large and thought the kids would think it was funny.
IMG_2282.jpg

and it was large, JackJack would stand on his chair to try to get a drink
IMG_2284.jpg

IMG_2285.jpg

They brought out our food and it was great.
IMG_2287.jpg

I didn't really care for the dressing on the salad but everything else was pretty good. I LOVED the corn bread, ribs and pulled pork. The beans and chicken were really good too. Of course it wasn't long before Dash needed ketchup so our waitress had them stand up and yell "WE NEED KETCHUP" and we got a tablefull.
IMG_2286.jpg

We didn't have it very long and someone else needed it so we took it all over there. During dinner they had all the kids take a crayon to one child, we all stood up and played the hokey pokey, they had a kissing contest for all the couples celebrating their anniversary. The couples didn't seem to be to into it and hardly even kissed. JackJack thought this place was great, he kept standing up, putting his hands to his mouth and saying "we need ketchup" When we had it the first time we didn't have it long enough to get some for the fries so Dash and JackJack both wanted some. So they stood up again and yelled for it. JackJack was in heaven, a place where they encouraged you to yell.:goodvibes The large diet coke proved to be too much for me and I still had quite a bit left.
IMG_2288.jpg

This is when JackJack decided he was done. He had been drinking some of Violet's shake because she was getting full and he decided to push it across the table for her. Well, the table was nice and smooth and that shake slid all the way across the table and onto the floor. Luckily the glass didn't break, dh cleaned it up. I think he was kind of excited because he saw his chance now to get a refill for shake of chocolate. :woohoo: He loved the chocolate. After that we were done. We waddled our way out of the restaraunt and into the WL lobby.
IMG_2290.jpg

JackJack had a great time running across the bridge and looking at the water.
IMG_2293.jpg

Dash decided to start her life of crime and while I was watching JackJack she was seeing if she could climb over the railing and get the money out of the fountain. I stopped her before she reached in the water and she really didn't understand why I wouldn't let her.:sad2: We left here and caught the boat back to the MK and we saw a beautiful sunset but I never had a clear shot of it with my camera so no picture. :sad1: When we got there we went back to space mt because that is what the girls wanted to do. It was a fairly short line and when the girls and I got done, dh went back on with them and I took JackJack and went to find a spot to watch the fireworks. I decided to stop on the bridge from the hub to Tomorrowland, it was a nice spot to watch from. While I waited I got some nice pictures of the castle.
IMG_22991.jpg

IMG_2310.jpg

Then dh and the girls found us and I got a picture of them
IMG_2311.jpg

The fireworks were amazing!
IMG_2325.jpg

IMG_2343.jpg

I would watch them every night if I could, EXCEPT it is impossible to leave the park afterwards. The fireworks ended and we slowly crept our way out of the park and started heading to the monorail, but there was a person directing people to the ferry saying it would be faster than the monorail. So we headed to the ferry line. While we were crammed in the line like a bunch of cattle JackJack opened the lid to his sippy cup, which was full of milk, and dumped it all over his lap and the seat of the stroller. :scared1: I wanted to strangle the little angle We had nothing to clean it up with. We just left it wet, nothing we could do and finally got on the ferry and then when we got to the TTC, we had to stand in another ridiculous line for the tram. But, we finally got to our car and after missing a turn we finally got back to our home away from home about an hour and a half after the fireworks ended. DH doesn't ever want to stay for the fireworks again. We carried all the kids in, put them to bed, and took off JackJack's wet clothes. We also brought he stroller in and tried to dry it off and clean it up as much as we could.
This was by far our longest and most tiring day. But, the lines were great, we only used fastpass on Peter Pan, nothing else had a long enough line for us to need to. I forgot to say in the first half of the day that after lunch we tried to go meet Ariel and the Princesses and both had 60 min waits. We werent' willing to wait that long so we skipped it and plan to try on our next day in the MK.
Next up: The coolest mom in the world

Wow, you're really moving along with this TR! Great updates:cheer2:

You guys are the cutest! Your family's personalities really do fit w/ the Incredibles. I'd love to do WCC next time, DS would get a kick out of it. It's really unbelievable how much there is to do there.

Great TR so far, keep it up! :thumbsup2

Wow, what a great trip report! I am so enjoying this!! Your kids are adorable and you all are so cute together! You got them to give you some great poses Mom!! I love the shirts you made! How fun!
Can't wait to find out what happens next!

I know, I think I am avoiding the things I should be doing because I don't want our trip to be over yet.

We loved WCC, it was our most expensive meal though. Of course if you do the DDP that wouldn't matter. It is kind of funny how well we match up with the Incredibles.:lmao:

Thanks, I'm glad you are enjoying it. Once in awhile I can get them to cooperate.:rotfl:

I like your tie-died mickey shirts. Sounds like you had a great day at MK. The food at WCC sounds delish. I think my dh and I will have to go there when we go next May.

I'm enjoying reading about your trip, and your pictures are great to look at. This cracked me up:

JackJack saw a baby in a highchair near us and wanted to go "hold the baby and pet the baby" I had to stop him as most people don't like strangers petting their babies.
Baby ZZUB likes to pet other babies too. Especially if they're crying, she wants to give them a kiss to make it all better. But since I'm no fan of strange kids petting my daughters, we don't let her assault strange babies either.

I'm exhausted just reading about your MK day. But it looked like a lot of fun.

:moped:

Thanks for reading, glad you joined in. It was an exhausting day, but with hardly any waits it wasn't as bad as it sounded. Isn't it fun how babies love other babies:goodvibes

Those shirts are too cute! It sounds like WCC was a blast. I gave up our ADR on our last trip to go to the Luau... it was not a good call and He (DH) wouldn't let me live it down.

Thanks, I was pretty impressed with how they turned out.
That's actually good to know, the luau was something I was considereing but since we were paying OOP we didn't want too many of these spendier meals so we opted for just WCC.

April 30- DTD and DHS
Since we had had such a late night the night before we decided to have a late morning. After I woke up I went to the little market at our resort to buy some food for breakfast. Violet was up so she wanted to go with me. I bought cereal, milk and a raspberry streusal thing. After breakfast we went swimming at one of the pools and then headed off to DTD. Our goal was Goofy's candy co. and make your own rice krispie treats. We went in filled out our forms and waited for these delicious wonderful treats I had read so much about. While we were waiting for them we looked at around at the delectable little treats they had in their display cases.
IMG_2366.jpg

IMG_2367.jpg

IMG_2372.jpg

IMG_2373.jpg

JackJack picked out what he wanted
IMG_2368.jpg

and then we narrowed it down to one thing
IMG_2369.jpg

The kids and dh had fun with the mirror
IMG_2370.jpg

The treats were finally ready and the girls and I carried them out to a table while dh paid.
Violet chose hers to be dipped in white chocolate, rolled in crushed oreos and drizzled with milk chocolate, white chocolate, and caramel
IMG_23741.jpg

Dash had hers dipped in white chocolate, rolled in butterfinger and drizzled with milk chocolate.
IMG_2375.jpg

Mine was dipped in milk chocolate, reeses pb cups, and drizzled with caramel
IMG_2376.jpg

DH had his dipped in milk chocolate, reeses pb cups and drizzled with milk chocolate.
IMG_2377.jpg

I think the girls only ate 1 or 2 bites of their's and they were done. DH and I ate maybe a quarter of it and we couldn't eat anymore. It was one of the best treats we had and for only $3 you can't beat it at Disney. It took DH and I four different times to finish it it was so rich and big. We packed them up and in the process Violet dumped hers on the ground. It was salvagable as the part that landed on the ground was the drizzle side and all of that fell off and staid on the ground when we picked it up. She was all upset, this is the second time she has tried to pack up food and in the process dumped it all over the floor. With that tragedy taken care of we got in the car and headed of to DHS.
cont.

We got there a little after 12 and headed to the stunt show. Our main goal today was to see all the shows we missed the first day and one surprise for the girls. DH and the girls loved the stunt show. I thought it was fine but probably wouldn't go back to watch it the next time I went.
IMG_2384.jpg

IMG_2392.jpg

Once the show ended it was time for the surprise. I had found out that the Disney Channel Games were going on at the wide world of sprots while we were there, but I hadn't figured out a way to work it in our plan. But, then I also found out on the disboards that they were going to have a parade today with some of the disney channel stars. So we headed to the parade route to see if the rumor was true. At first I thought maybe it wasn't but then I saw some cast members near star tours keeping the pathway open and I knew that it was going to happen. :woohoo: While we were waiting the girls pulled out their pins I had bought them and started pin trading with the cast members there. I was wondering when they would finally start trading their pins and was excited to see them starting to get into it. Then we lined up and I told the girls that we were going to see some of the Disney channel stars and they were so excited. First out were the Jonas Brothers
Nick
IMG_23941.jpg

Joe
IMG_23951.jpg

Kevin
IMG_23961.jpg

Then Demi from Camp Rock unfortunatley goofy's hand blocked her face :sad2:
IMG_23971.jpg

Next were the cheetah girls
Kiely
IMG_23981.jpg

Sabrina
IMG_24001.jpg

Adrienne
IMG_24011.jpg

Last was Selena Gomez from Wizards of Waverly place
IMG_24041.jpg

I was so the best mom ever. The girls couldn't believe they got to see these stars. JackJack fell asleep during this parade. He didn't see a single parade this whole trip, he was alway asleep during them.
After this we went and watched Muppet 3-D and then back to watch the block party parade. This parade is kind of hard to watch, in that instead of having a whole parade route to stand and watch, they only stop at two places and then put on a show. We didn't reazlie this and we stood over by star tours until a cast member told us we should go wait by sounds dangerous. By the time we got there it was pretty crowded and had a hard time finding a spot where the girls could see. Some nice people let them sit on the ground in front of them. Violet went out and joined them dancing in one part of the show.
IMG_24151.jpg

IMG_24171.jpg

As soon as it was over we booked it over to Beauty and the Beast because we only had a few minutes until it started. I thought it was a pretty good show. I probably wouldn't watch it every time I went but I would watch it again.
After it was over we headed back to the hat to watch the High School musical show, this was for Dash, she had been wanting to watch it since the first day. While we went over there dh went to get us something to eat and fastpasses for Rockin Rollercoaster, he came back with 2 turkey legs and Dash wasn't happy, she apparantly doesn't like them. JackJack doesnt' want to watch and is throwing a fit because there is a stand right next to us selling those squirt bottle fans that he wanted 2 days ago. DH takes him and I stay with the girls. When dh comes back Jackjack has a huge smile and a squirt bottle fan. He was in heaven.
IMG_2455.jpg

IMG_2456.jpg

IMG_2457.jpg

Now he had a weapon, he was squirting my legs, he was squirting dh's legs, he was squirting the lady standing next to me leg's. The show is over we put him in the stroller and he squirts it the whole time we walk on our way to Indiana Jones. DH lets him bring it in the show and he is squirting everyone around us. DH finally takes it from him, another tantrum but he gets over it and watches the show. I thought the show was pretty cheesy. I probably wouldn't go back to watch it again.
After the show it was time to head back to Rockin Rollercoaster. I rode with the girls, dh rode with the girls and then we went to Tower of Terror. DH didn't want to ride it so I went on with the girls. We got done and came out to meet up with dh but he wasn't there. We walked down the pathway thinking we would find him but he wasn't there. We walked back up in case we missed him and we waited. He finally showed up and we went to go get seats for Fantasmic. We stopped on the way in and got ice cream bars for the kids. Violet got a popsicle, Dash an ice cream sandwich and JackJack got a mickey bar. We then went in and got seats.
IMG_24581.jpg

DH went to get me a diet coke while we waited. Now jackjack found another thing he had to have. A mickey light saber. He carried on for 10-15 minutes crying for this. Finally the show started. It was really good. When it was over we made our way out of the park and headed home to bed.
My only disappointment for the day was I wanted to do the backlot ride and we weren't able to fit it in. We did get to see every show that we wanted to see. I was surprised that I didn't see anything at the park about them having the parade with the dc stars. If I hadn't known ahead of time we most likely would have missed it, there was nothing in the schedule that it was going to happen. Overall it was another great day.
Next up: We've been wronged

IMO you didn't really miss much by not seeing the backlot tour.

While we went over there dh went to get us something to eat and fastpasses for Rockin Rollercoaster, he came back with 2 turkey legs and Dash wasn't happy, she apparantly doesn't like them.

I can't blame the girl....I don't like them either!

Thanks for the update:woohoo:

I just started reading. Great report!

I'm like you with the contacts and the water and stuff...it's hard to explain to a 9 and 4 year old how fun water slides are when you won't ride them though!

Looking forward to reading more!
